For an extremely easy and visual rope trick, you'd be hard-pressed to beat this. There is a little
tricky handling at the beginning to show them as three different ropes, but Daryl covers the
handling well and makes it work. The rope is knit and wonderfully easy to work with. It should hold
up to hundreds of performances before looking frayed if you take care of it.
The concept
itself is simple, so the routine isn't that long. It's more for a kid's show than adults to me,
though Daryl makes it entertaining for anyone. I especially like the way he shows you how to set it
up so you can walk out with a bundle that you untie to show as separate ropes. There are no
difficult sleights, just a special knot that you probably already know how to tie (especially if you
already do rope work).
If you are wanting to add a simple rope routine to your act that is
beautifully visual for parlor or even stage, this could be an easy choice.
