I am generally not a fan of rope tricks. But this is an exception. The effect is extremely visual;
audiences love it.
I saw Daryl perform this effect (then known as the Jumping Knot of
Pakistan, which apparently is no longer PC) many years ago and decided to add it to my repertoire.
But that was before the days of DVDs and I found it almost impossible to follow the written
descriptions and drawings of the knots and moves.
A few months ago I was scratching my
head trying to come up with some effects that I could present in a parlor setting. It occurred to
me that Daryl may have released a DVD of this effect. He has. The DVD makes all the difference in
the world. Daryl teaches the effect very clearly and patiently. Plus the quality of the ropes that
come with it are much improved.
