This is an incredibly rewarding text, for the very simple reason I have been an Al Leech fan for
well over fifty years. Back in the early 1960's I started buying Leech titles from the Ireland Magic
Company, later Magic Incorporated.
My conversion to the Leech approach to card magic
happened almost overnight: Here was forthright, highly visual material that sparkled because of its
innate simplicity. No need for upside down Side Steals or convoluted Panoramic Shifts here!
And now, all of the Leech material originally published by Magic Inc., is available in one
convenient volume. Editor Danny Rudnick has more than obviously carried out a labor of love here and
its shows.
Just one observation: The book does not include all material that Al Leech put
together. Some stuff is missing and it would have been nice to have included reference to same in
the bibliography. 'Lost & Found Aces' from Harry Lorayne's Close Up Card Magic is a case in point.
But don't let this sway you. 'The Complete Al Leech' is a first rate, inspirational
addition to your bookshelf
Very highly recommended.
