If you have studied ring and rope magic, there is not much new here... but as others have mentioned,
it is almost like a Dean's Box without the box. Working the included routines, I have developed a
different move that better suits my timing and rhythm, the DVD did make me think of other things I
could do.
Simple props, easy to carry around, examinable, no gimmicks. The
introduction/setup is the most important part of the presentation, otherwise the audience may not
get what is happening right away.
The explanations (English voice over) are thorough and
clear. The DVD has a robust menu making it easy to focus on what you need and the A/V quality is
adequate.
I replaced the provided rings with some solid brass rings at the hardware store
for $2 each. They have more weight and are easier to manipulate. The provided shoe strings are eye
grabbing day glow. Good for informal, but I'm replacing them with better cords for me.
If
the effects fit your style, go for it. I like it.
