I really think this was a great effect. I had to 'develop' it a bit but it's a good one. I
struggled with 'making the leap' from the card reveal to the zodiac part but found by reversing
that, it makes more sense to the spectator. I give the impression I need the zodiac information in
order to reveal the card. That (sort of) makes more sense. Also Under pressure I found it 'tricky'
to do the third grade math problem. So I figured out that if you know how many letters are in a
given month, and have the spectator give you the needed addition, described in the effect, as soon
as they give you number, you instantly know the month. Just make a list of the months of the year,
add the required number and have that on a study card until you learn it in about five minutes. You
will see it's easy because although in some cases it's the same number, for some months but you
already know enough to instantly determine the actual month. It's all in the effect. That's a great
'tip'! Also, just learn the zodiac signs. They suggest a cheat sheet. Just learn them. I didn't
know them either but the pneumonics provided are good. It took about a 30 minutes using the
pneumonics offered. Also I find by writing down the reveal for the Zodiac, have a fall back position
should I miss the 'primary' sign on the first attempt I have the secondary sign (the next month)
listed, even though I crossed it out and went with the primary. "Well I really did get it, but went
with the primary and oh and your card is..." It's a great trick. You can raise it another 'notch' by
buying Steam 2.0 from Penguin and reveal the actual birth date! I love it.
