The idea is a great but this is not practical at all. If you like doing magic for the camera only then this is great for that. To all the close up magicians I advise you stay away from this. The gimmick is visible and there could be multiple flashes.

You are totally wrong. I'm am a closeup magician and this trick works perfectly in that situation
