I'll let other reviewers talk about the effects, which are direct and pure. I'm in love with the
lecture itself. TC had a packet of notes - this guy was prepared. But he also went off of them on
occasion, because even in a lecture he knows to follow the lead of the audience.
Best of
all, an expanded version of those notes is available as a PDF, which totals 47 pages (some are
partial blanks because they are ends of chapters, and there's the table of contents, etc, but we're
talking a good 40 pages of content). Essentially, the lecture also comes with a book. Not a large
book, but a wildly useful one. I hope to see more of this practice in future Penguin Live lectures.
