This has got to be the most expensive throwaway trick my brother has ever purchased.
My
younger brother had just earned $40 dollars and wanted to buy a trick. I told him that Springboard
sounded interesting and had good reviews. He took my recommendation and bought it. The book arrived,
he read it, and then performed it for me. I immediately knew what was going on.
The method
behind the trick was so obvious that I figured he must have performed it wrong, or at least very
badly. He ensured me that he had performed it correctly and gave me the book to confirm such.
I read the book, and sure enough, he had followed the instructions precisely as they were given
in the book.
Any intelligent spectator is likely to figure out this trick. The obviousness
of the method made me feel so guilty for recommending the trick to my brother that I offered to
refund his money; he declined the offer.
Once you learn the method to Springboard, you're
likely to think, "Well, yeah, of course the spectator can 'read your mind' if you do that. So what?"
Save your money.
