I was super excited for this trick as soon as I saw the trailer and bought it right away. It got here yesterday and I've been playing with these chips almost nonstop since. I will preface the negative section of this review by saying that I have had a total blast playing with these, there are just a few flaws that makes this product middle of the road to me.

Right away, these look great but once I got them out of the package they straight up FEEL cheap, and like out of a magic kit. They look much better than they handle. They're plastic and the colored "faces" are stickers on them with a matte finish (Any part of the chip with color or white is a sticker - it's literally the whole surface). So, you could replace the sticker with your own if you wanted, but I feel like this design is not good for those of us who want just the red and blue faces included. Not only for quality reasons, but in a moment I will say that I found the stickers so far to actually HURT the set's functionality. BUT, this set is only $40. I didn't expect it to be super high quality - you get what you pay for.

First off, one of my gaffs had very bad quality control and stands out from the other chips: My red s***l's sticker is a much more deep and colorful red than my other red chips, meaning that when it's in play with the red ones, you can tell one of them is off. For this reason, I will probably never use it. The s***ls are also obnoxiously thick and big compared to a coin one would be. It makes sense because this is a plastic chip set but I honestly don't know if I'll use these s***ls ever.

The star gimmick of this set are your s***t coins. The s***t coins you get are capable of awesome visuals, color changes, productions and vanishes... But, unfortunately, mine sometimes are a huge hassle to use, because the matte stickers provide enough friction that sometimes they won't.... Do what they do... (without revealing too much.) They get "stuck" a lot right in the middle of a routine.

Eric's teaching is awesome. Zero complaints. Some beautiful routines in here that I will apply with my nice real coin gaffs. He is so creative and awesome to have in the commercial coin magic community.

This set is a great set if you want to at least get some exposure to using some coin gaffs without spending the hundreds of dollars that real ones cost, while also learning some fun applications. I'd argue that this set doesn't do s***ls justice, but if you wanted to play around with one without spending a ton of money this lets you do that. I am most likely to use these for color changing coin style routines if I'm doing a gambling themed event, and besides that I will just use real coins as usual. The shininess, thickness/weight, handling, smoothness, and audio sounds coins produce are better in every single way than these chips. The one thing these chips have as an advantage over regular coins, besides a gambling theme if you want that and the low cost, is the color contrast between red and blue that copper and silver can't even capture.

All in all, a very fun set to play with - just be aware that these are not very high quality at all and routines that require a lot of friction of the coins, like 3 fly routines, are rough because of the matte stickers.

Perfect review. I agree 100%, and although mine didn't have the same issue yours did with the one discolored s***l gimmick, I agree with your summary of their overall clunkiness. Like you, I also think for $40 that it's a steal, however, and Eric's "Through" explanation and some of the color-changes are killer routines so I'm gonna recommend this one highly to anyone looking to experience some cool coin routines that might otherwise fly over your head if you'd had to pay what most of us did for the proper equipment back in the day when Johnson Coins was getting this price for a simple 50-cent piece s***l. Overall a very cool toy that sharpened my chops for a weekend or two.

Fair review, for sure. I found that when I add invisible scotch tape to the s---t chips, covered and razor cut on top of and to match the sticker, it fixes the friction problem. they ride very smoothly now

I have used Bounce dryer sheets on the s---t chips when they start getting sticky. Rub well on each side and away you go! Have to reapply from time to time, but it works well for me.
