One of the extraordinary features of Penguin Magic is the transparency customers enjoy in the
discussion forums and also the strong integrity of the company in ensuring satisfaction with
customer purchases. It was refreshing for me to share my comments on this effect in a phone
conversation with Penguin and now in a review. Simply stated, this trick falls drastically short of
its depiction and far short of the other outstanding illusions I have purchased from Penguin over
the years. I will say that the case is nice..... The apparatus is flimsy and cheap, the bell is
tiny, there are no instructions on how to open the remote to insert the battery, no instruction on
how to use the antenna with the remote, when the base is opened the materials slide around, there
are no batteries provided (especially at this price!) and no presentation ideas. The materials look
like they are worth only a few dollars. I look forward to my next Penguin purchase but want to warn
everyone to totally stay away from this trick! Thank you. Bill Eiler
Hello:
I do not have this one but wanted to add a few comments. Mine did not come with batteries either. I was told there could be problems mailing them. My first bell came with a file with basic instructions, however, there are videos and reviews you can google about presentation ideas. I recommend just coming up with your own way of presenting. If needed, I would just ask the seller how to open the battery compartment and use of remote. I have two Handmade Spirit Bells which look authentic and recommend spending more to get a quality product, This looks like a toy and from your review, has the same quality as one. A Spirit Bell can be a Fantastic piece to use in a Magical Theatrical performance. Mine looks two hundred years old! It is one of the most Magical effects I have ever seen! It gets great reactions too!

I bought mine at aliexpress site at price 74$ the device came with nice case as same as you’ll get here, because i know that the gimmick itself is just a very basic circuit , all you need is costumise the gimmick , the electrical circuit is removable , you could put it in a costumised Ouija board ( idea from the mentalist spidey) , about the bell you could use any bell you wishe and gimmicked it. Another idea instead of the bell you could be using a gimmicked pendulum and a glass of wine , just tie the pendulum to anything you chose , and make the pendulum to klink on the glass using the remote control. You could purchase "wonder igniter" to ignite fire from distance , if you would like adding mystic or horor to your act , just use your imagination and be creative , and come with your own ideas feeting to your character.
Yes. I forgot to discuss the most important aspect of this Prop, Showmanship and Story Telling. Music can be added when telling a story to build up the effect. However, I would of course not use it when activating the bell. You can perform a question-answer routine, or a select a card prediction, etc. Use your imagination. You can bring an audience to dead silence with this effect! I have! Enjoy it. This is one of the Strongest effects you can do if done with Showmanship and a good presentation!
Yours truly, Magical Entertainer Vincent!
