The new batch of red chips are nice.
They're not the blood red color though - closer to the color of a grapefruit.

The shell is not really expanded, but the other chips are shaved.
This poker chip shell will fit over an eisenhower dollar coin - so I suppose the shell is the size of an expanded eisenhower dollar shell.

The non-shell chips are shimmed too which is a nice bonus.

I really like the look and feel of this new set. The shell does not look distorted at all. Penguin should update the picture for this product too because they show a picture of the previous "green" shell which wasn't as good looking as this new one.
