Don't get me wrong. This is a great trick and I love it. Ammar is usually one of the best teachers
also. But the instructions that come with this trick are not up to his or Penguins standards. He
just assumes we know what a four card force is using the hofzinser cull. Well, you can look for
hours on the internet and you won't find what that is. Yes, I'm an amateur and yes, I THINK I
figured it out but isn't that what we pay for when we buy a trick. Teaching on how to do it, not,
well I'll have to piece these techniques together to maybe do it right. This was really
disappointing in light that it was a download and he could have easily included 60 seconds of
teaching to teach how the trick was performed. Its not even in the printed materials that come with
the deck.
Sorry but wanted to voice my frustration... as an amateur.
I agree that the written instructions are a bit bare-bones (but should be enough for anyone but a complete newcomer to magic). But the video download instructions are more than adequate for a beginner to learn the handling and presentation. Any force may be used; if you don't know one, you can find one with little effort. I found the Four Down force referenced in this review in a couple of minutes.
I would suggest that Jonathan use the "Discuss" feature of the Penguin website to ask some questions about any points he isn't clear on. (Go to My Penguin Magic, then hit the Discuss button next to the relevant trick).
