I don't know where to start, this book is filled hard hitting routines and with a lot of hidden
gems. I love how its been wrote with the language and the stories it tells.
however this
was my first magic book iv ever purchased, and even though its a great book, i have one small issue.
the content in this book isn't for the weak. all of it is very technical and slight heavy.
And some of the explanations don't help either. I have been doing magic for under a year as a hobby,
i wish there was some relatively easier stuff i could learn and yet be as powerful
theirs a
lot of people that cant do a perfect faro which would make them unable to do a lot of tricks in this
book. SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Maybe performance video's would've helped me as well.
otherwise, its a great book! highly recommend!
Check out Jay Sankey's web site. Jay has a ton of easy to do killer magic tricks...trust me, you'll find what you need there...
I would recommend you get Mark Wilson's Complete Course in Magic. I'm sure many here would agree. It's a big hardcover book with over 400 pages and full of every magic you can think of and tons of cool, EASY card tricks. I'm sure you can get it for less than 10 dollars. You won't regret buying it, trust me.
I would recommend "Now You See It, Now You Don't", and "The Second Now You See It, Now You Don't." Both by Bill Tarr, both outstanding books are for beginner to intermediate magicians full of awesome illustrations. I am 60 years old, have been involved in magic for 50 years, and still love these two books. For some nice self-working stuff, George Schindler put out a few books. Sorry, I don't remember the book titles, but they should be easy to find. You can get these used in the $12 price range. I like both, but will admit book 1 is the better of the two. I would also recommend these over Mark Wilson to start, Mark Wilson had a great course; I have met his wife and son many times back in the 70s and up into the 90s. But for cards, and a few other sleights Bill Tarr's books are a little better
