I like Anthony Blake since I watched his DVD-Set (produced by Dani DaOrtiz). From the first minute
on I was faszinated by demonstrations of the effects, because he involves very interesting bits in
the process (for example sketching associations with a person or a place) with a real psychic
appeal. I got the feeling of seeing a classic performer. His methods were obviously time tested,
sometimes developed in a personal manner, what makes it difficult to use them straight away. But
there was no effect that wasn't interesting to study.
This Penguin lecture is not quite so
personal as the DVD-set but he goes through interesting routines, some weren't on the set. The
explanations (and the show) are not perfectly clear, mostly because English isn't Mr. Blakes first
language.
I really liked this, he is a unique performer.
