The method for this is so simple and straightforward that you will go, "Oh, man, I should have
thought of that!" The real guts of the effect, is, as mentalist and dvd narrator Peter Turner tells
you, how it's presented. This is absolutely true of all mentalism effects, and there's no news here.
That said, someone new to mentalism will find this effect a great method for constructing and
presenting a good routine to cut his/her teeth on. The materials are on hand everywhere; carry with,
or get them from spectators, and you're good to go. Good for walk-around or parlor. This effect will
pay for itself
My only complaint lies with the nature of the instruction itself. The setup
of the method is explained thoroughly. Peter Turner's lecture on the nature of shaping spectator
reaction is also very thorough, and a good reminder for all mentalists on what's most important in
mentalism. What is missing is any performance footage of the main method Turner teaches; some demo,
in teaching or of live-shot footage of the total routine with real spectators, would be of great
help in explaining the complete handling of the effect. Can you figure it out? Yes. Will that take
practice? Of course.
