This is strong material.

I hate to be that guy, but I am at the moment...I almost wish this was priced way higher, or was a limited release.
If you want to give jaw dropping, powerful, readings, get this.
I am a full time mentalist/reader. I have a library of material on my shelves, and Sibyl stands toe to toe with any of it. This will be a referenced classic one day I'm sure.
This release covers everything from cold reading, scripting, justification, Acidus Novus, and more.
With performance examples.
The included PDF is as well written as the DVD is filmed.
Both are clear, professional, and well paced.

Phedon lays out an incredibly well structured, systematic, layered approach.
None of it is pie in the sky stuff, and has obviously been worked hard, in the real world.
Thankfully this will take a bit of attention and study.
Whatever your level, if you are serious about mentalism, get this.
I'd go so far as to say, this is one of my most satisfying mentalism purchases of all time, at any price. (let alone $50..)

DE PROFUNDIS - This is a propless and mechanical way to harvest information. But it's so much more than that. There's a "therapy" vibe to it that actually justify the whole ritual. This can be used in several contexts, ranging from imagination to psychometry (two of my favorites). The suggested things to be harvested couldn't be better.

S.C.R.E.W.E.D - This is a themed piece, focused on specific past events from the participant. As soon as I knew what it was about, I instantly knew this would work wonders... particularly with woman... and possibly even make them cry. My suspicions turned out to be correct. This is atomic stuff.

CAFFEINE-FREE - This is a reading system that has more weight towards the "scientific" side. What a brilliant adaptation Phedon made. There's space for a LOT here. Personally, I found this a perfect way to ease a skeptical into some more esoteric stuff. Phedon will give additional tips that will be gold to someone not familiar with the optional part.

PHEDON'S LINES - To call this simply "stock lines" would be a huge understatement. Phedon did a very good job not only separating the whole thing by context... he also made a link with the greek names. He explains WHY they work... and why they CAN'T FAIL. It's full of subtleties. Describing them in one word: MASTERFUL!

WAIT A SECOND PLOY - This can give you a huge hit without any prior information. It's kinda hard to explain without spoiling. Imagine a situation like "heads I win... tails you lose"... that's it. Either you get a hit or it doesn't fail.

HERMES - It's a wizard type effect with a friend over the telephone, with a presentation and justification.

DELPHI - It's the structure he uses to reveal a name. The revelation happens even without harvested information.

PRISM - Essencially it's a way to reveal gathered information giving readings that cannot "miss", thanks to a "shift". It will connect heavily with the participant... and leave a lasting impression, for sure.

PHEDON'S JOURNEY - This is a very theatrical way to reveal information. The power to elicit emotions here is pretty much unsurpassed.

FINAL WORDS - Essentially, this project is focused on POWERFUL ways to give readings, but you will get much more than that. To be 100% honest, when I finished seeing the project... I had that feeling of preferring this to not be out there... particularly at this price. This is the kind of material that can turn a mediocre performer into an ELITE one. Thank God not everybody dig readings. Phedon not only explained it really well... but he theatrically managed to link the whole thing to the greek legend of the oracles from Ancient Greece. This project is very special indeed. I also must mention that watching Phedon in action is a real joy. I couldn't help but smile while watching the presentations and seeing the reactions. Phedon is a true artist, a gentleman and I'm proud to have him as friend. He has a real knack to creating propless stuff... and as a performer, he goes the extra mile to actually touch and connect with people... something that is quite clear in this project and quite rare in our field. I think the community is blessed to have someone of such high caliber willing to share his material and I already imagine how devastating this can be in Q&A.

When you boil this down, this is essentially a flexible system to present a peeked name. That may seem like it’s not worth $50, but how many peaks and tears do you know vs how many ways to present a meaningful and emotional reveal? How many ways do you know to naturally justify tearing a piece of paper in a way that completely and utterly makes sense?

I’ve got to say I was a little worried this would be one of those purchases I was going to regret, but it has turned into my favorite purchase in a long long time.

Let me start by simply saying that I feel this to be the most important release in mentalism in the last decade. I honestly cannot remember the last time I was this excited over a release. I think it would have to be Bruce Bernstein’s The Ritual from his phenomenal book, Unreal.

What Phedon has created, I actually hesitate to even call mentalism, because it is not the mentalism that we have come to know today. I feel that the vast majority of mentalism today is indeed magic tricks with a mental theme. Its somewhat of a grey area. What Phedon has created is more in line with psychological shamanistic work. He has managed to find a marriage between the psychological realm of performance that so many mentalists and mystery performers have come to love, but also so poetically incorporates a visionary approach.

I cannot for the life of me understand why this has been priced at the low price that it has. The first routine performed is easily worth 3 times the entire price of the DVD. The type of material that you are going to find within this tomb is something you would expect to learn at a private workshop.

Lastly, this is not something that is going to be for everyone. If you are looking for the newest tech gadget or trick that is going to make people drop their jaws and run away, this is not it. This is the type of material that causes someone to enter into their subconscious and bring forth their private memories, fears, pains, and desires.

Phedon has clearly made a name for himself with this one. To be completely honest, I would have paid twice the asking price of the DVD to simply just watch him perform the routines without ever even teaching or discussing anything. One can gain a wealth of knowledge simply by watching a performer that has put in the time and effort for their work. I’m reminded of Enrique Enriquez, Anthony Blake, and Docc Hilford. It’s clear that Phedon did not just release this on a whim. It is so refreshing to see somewhat respecting the art and taking it into such a different direction.

I guess to sum it all up, this is the type of material that AFFECTS, rather than an EFFECT. I cannot wait to see what he has in store for the future.

I have ordered Sibyl with Proteus in mind and I expected a similar, linear approach to each effect (as I find this approach brilliant in Proteus). It is not so. Sibly gives distinct effects that is true, but more so it gives several brilliant pieces of methodology, scripts and ways of connecting to the spectator. Nicos review above is an excellent one in all these points. The prism is absolutely fantastic, as well as the "wait a second" but for me the most exciting thing is the way you bring a modular script, a few uncomplicated methods and a fine premise to the table and generate deeply moving pieces of mentalism that can be fitted to all situations. Also the journey concept is a wonderful way to generate rapport beyond what I would consider achievable in a reading like effect. So as to "Stock Lines", they are old as the hills, but Phedon organised them in such a way that for once, they cannot be denied (and then salvaged by ignoring the spectator) and always help your cause. Excellent stuff.

To me, this was worth it for the performances alone. Phedon is an amazing reader and he'll give you so many amazing tools your head will be bursting with inspiration.

When I moved into mentalism it was because I wanted to have a better connection with my audience. But most of what I found were tricks putting the performer in the spotlight and not caring much about the spectators perspective.

Well this is different. No more bragging-about-their-superpowers mentalists, no more convoluted processes leaving only the performer smirking and the audience completely lost, no more ridiculously simple methods that take the spectators to be 2 year old children, no more expensive gimmicks that leave you dependant of it.

With this, with nothing more than a pen and a paper, you will leave your spectators moved and blown away. I promise they will remember this for a long time.

See, Phedon's work provides you with such a toolkit to make your performance memorable that it might even makes you redefine the philosophy and thinking beneath your whole act and character.

I love the title of this project because is very close to me as the most famous Sibyl among Romans in the old times was in Cuma near my home city Naples, Italy.

Of course, I don't only love the title but also the treasure of important knowledge you will find in this DVD.
This work as a great value either if you do readings or if you don't. It can be utilized as a whole system or you can extract pieces from it to create single bits of performances.
If you love readings you are in for a treat and if you don't care much for reading you can use Sibyl as a tool and present it as a way to get to know your participants so that you can create the right connection and emotional atmosphere to proceed with mentalism and hypnosis for example. In all the cases this work is meant to accompany you for years of studying and perfecting the art of creating empathy and an emotional ground on which to stand as a mystery performer.
