I have had this product for a couple of days now. I would like to leave my review for this product
because I see some lower reviews that may deter people away.
I do not mind if people do not get
this, because of how cool it is, but I would like more people to become involved due to the
potential this product has.
Pros: Cube is nice, the app is clean, the tricks are awesome,
the creator contact is great (I have contacted several times and they are quick to respond).
Cons: App needs to be polished and updated, Instructions need frequent updates to match the app.
Needs more troubleshooting info. Need private discussion page (FaceBook) to discuss ideas and
updates.
Initial Thoughts: When I received this product, I watched the video. I could not
download the video on my phone, so that made it hard to navigate. It needs a time line table of
contents. The video instruction is obviously older, and with technology like this (an app) updates
will often be made, so updated videos and instruction need to be provided. This is not the case at
the time of this review. The instructions were good, but there were things I wanted to see and
explained, which were not, such as the email function, maintenance, and routine ideas. My cube app
did not work at first. I figured out why (the storage for my phone was set to the external sd card
and it had to be set to internal). This is annoying since my internal space is limited, which is why
I use the sd card. After figuring this out, the app worked well. It takes slightly longer to take
the "picture" than wanted, but with some scripting it works fine.
I have performed this for a
few friends and they all seem impressed. I love the email function and the website function as it
drives people to your content. The picture on the phone is nice because of the no-internet needed
functionality.
Things I want to see come to this product:
1. I want to be able to see
the full cube. At this time you only see three sides, while this is impressive, some people do want
to see more. Two picture options would be nice. The picture also, looks too perfect. This may be
nice to change in the future (angle differently, change the rendering)
2. Adaptability and
customization of the image. One of my wishes is to be able to upload a picture of ME holding the
cube, or the cube on a table with my logo, or of a poster for my show with the cube on it matching
theirs.
3. Quicker upload times. The picture should be quicker to take to my phone, as it
is technically a screenshot.
4. Dark Phone option. I would like to have my phone sitting on
the table, running the app, with the screen off so I do not have to see the app while doing the
trick. I do not want to accidentally "flash" my screen for the spectator to see the cube picture
there.
5. Customize Email. At this time, the email address the cube is sent to is
obviously a server address specifically for this cube. I would like to have that changed to either a
custom one, or my own personal email. I would also like to be able to keep the email of the person I
am performing to so I can contact them later on for future events.
6. Private discussion
group. Either on facebook or the webpage where we can discuss the routines, function, and ideas.
Other magic apps out there have these forum and communities. I have seen AMAZING ideas and work come
from these. It also allows troubleshooting to happen easier and updates to be made pinpointing
issues. I have also seen clever people become involved with the program to help improve the
functions.
These are some of the functions I have seen that I would like to see change.
While there is a lot of updating to be done to have a super amazing product, I do like where
this starts. I am quiet happy so far with the functions at this time and feel that it is an awesome
product. I plan to perform this mainly for walk around until new functions are added that may make
stage use more functional.
Please do not pass by on this product just yet. Bookmark it,
and come back in a month to see how the improvements are coming along. I can see this being
extremely functional and an amazing addition to any magician or mentalist's toolbox.

I, like others, had some trouble getting my cube to communicate with my phone. I had to go into app
permissions and allow full permissions for the app. I also had to make sure my memory was set to
save things on the phone and not the SD card (I can't remember exactly what I did, but you can find
the suggestion somewhere in these reviews).
Once it started communicating with my phone,
it worked really great. I always use the picture saved to my phone as the reveal as I'm not sure
how to send it to my website. The instructions are difficult to understand, as others have said and
the main problem is that the background music is way too loud. I was able to understand most of it
though, and will go back to watch again to try to figure out the website stuff.
I just
ran into a problem with my charger today. I went to charge my cube again and when I tried to plug
the usb cable into it, I noticed that part of the internal components of the charger were "stuck" to
the micro usb connector. Now I cannot get my cube to charge. I just sent an e-mail to gentlemen's
magic, but all the wording was in french, so I'm hoping they will understand my english query and
respond.
They ask for ideas, so here are some improvements I would make to the cube/app:
I would like to be able to change the background (desk, etc.) of the prediction picture. I would
like to be able to have a black screen on my phone as the spectator is mixing the cube so that I can
take my phone out at the beginning of the trick. As it is, you have to have your screen on with the
app open, which shows the cube being mixed as they mixed it. Not good. So you have to keep your
phone in your pocket until after they finish or hide the screen some way. However, there is a
setting on the app that will automatically close the app after it sends the picture so it's not a
huge deal to me, but it would be nice to have the phone out on the table from the beginning and say,
"I have a prediction on my phone..."
I would also like more stickers for the "original"
and "giiker" colors. They include one set, but if you mess up like I did, you don't have a back up.
I'm using the "Giiker" colors only on the orange side, with the rest being "original colors" since I
accidentally put those colors (the original colors) on the wrong side of the cube and had to remove
them, ruining them. Totally my fault, and the colors aren't THAT much different that anyone
(including me) can notice. Please note that you can fix the problem of the two holes in the cube by
putting these "original color" stickers on the cube, removing the default "giiker" colors. He shows
you how to do this near the end of the online instructional video. The "original color" stickers do
not have holes in the center sticker like the "giiker" colors do.
Overall, I would highly
recommend this cube as the reactions you get are amazing, especially if you ask google/siri how many
combinations there are in a 3x3 rubik's cube (43.2 quintillion). Google reads out the whole number,
and it's pretty overwhelming. I hope that this review was helpful to someone out there. Cheers!

I purchased Rubiked and just received it today. When I purchased it there were no reviews. After I
purchased it, there were a few negative reviews which made me concerned. Please trust me that this
product works just like the video that you see from Nick L. The video instructions are in English
and are not hard to understand. The inventor does have a slight accent, but every step for the
setup -from the download of the app to the setup on your phone shows video of how it should look and
where to go. The setup was simple and the product works great. Very responsive. As soon as you
turn the cube, the image is being mirrored on your phone. I send the finished cube image to my
photo gallery which is simply done automatically by touching your up or down volume control. I like
to say that " I made a prediction earlier today as to how you would arrange the cube and took a
picture of it". Then I open my photo gallery and the exact image is waiting there. It's awesome.
I recommend this as it was easy to setup. Product is high quality. Works great. Will be an
amazing prediction.

Truly an amazing use of technology. There are some things that can be improved upon so hopefully
they will keep updating, but this thing is pretty solid as is. The email feature is amazing and I
still have no idea how it works. You won't be disappointed.

This takes away the need to take an additional Rubik's cube and 360 dream to the bar with me. The
cube moves smoothly but you hear clicks, so I'll take a half a star off of that. The email function
failed and the time it did work, the delay was along about 30 minutes. You will need an up to date
phone with WiFi and Bluetooth. This effect forced me to create a website for myself, something that
I've been putting off for a long time. With the many free platforms out there, if you think about
it, even if the effect fails, even though it hasn't through the website yet, you still bring your
audience to your site. You let people know you are a professional. And even if all fails you still
send a picture to your phone album. That was enough for me to purchase two right there. It's
reasonably priced with the app and really, if you do cube magic often, why not get this.
Only took an hour to create a simple site that both works for desktop and mobile. Check it out.

This is the first time I have ever left a review on a product ordered from Penguin Magic and I was
debating about leaving one star (maybe I should have). Product seems very well made only if you can
get it to work. The instructions were very broken English and hard to understand but I was able to
download the app onto my Samsung Galaxy and downloaded the code but it was never able to connect to
the cube (and this was after charging it) - after 30 minutes it is still trying to connect. I then
loaded the app onto my iPad and it did connect to the cube but will not work since it appears you
can only use the activation code on one device. Very disappointed, I am returning this.

The only issue I have had with Rubiked has been that sometimes it doesn't connect on the first try,
otherwise everything has been great. It does what it's supposed to do, the effect blows people away
and it is actually a nice speed cube that can be used regularly outside of this effect.
The
app, with the exception of the connectivity issue that is easily resolved, works great. The website
setup is simple. My only concern in regards to that is that they need to continue to keep support
going for that webpage for it to be functional, but I don't see that as being a problem right now.
Either way, I have no regrets about the purchase. It's top notch.

I bought this from a local dealer.
The speed cube itself its awesome. For those of your whom
mastered Cube 3 Sleights.. You are in for a great treat. As they pair perfectly in a routine. The
Rubiks Match Prediction from your phone and the Rubiked prop match every time offline. N if you have
decent WiFi or data connections you can have your godlike prediction in FB.
Cons: 2
downside are
1) the speaker in the tutorial speaks super fast and accidentally assume that
consumers will understand the technical terms.
2) For a Cube Magic Tutorial with this
price. It will be great to include some basic false rubiks cube shuffle, Magic Routine, and
psychological tips when performing rubiks cube magic.
Best Regards

Picture never matches the app.
I used the cube with other cube apps works fine but the
Rubik App picture never matches the cube even after resetting the cube. Not worth it folks.
Cube Smith is much better and supported better.
