After years in the making, it has finally arrived!

We are proud to introduce to you the fairest and strongest Triumph yet based on the works of Jon Racherbaumer - Anarchy: created by Ryan Goh, a rising star from Singapore.

Imagine this:

The audience FREELY selects a card, remembers it and signs it, then places it back into the deck. The deck is then clearly shown to be shuffled into a complete mess, face up into face down. At the snap of your fingers, you are able to instantly turn every single card face down except for their selection, leaving it to be the only face-up card in the entire deck. Just when they think the effect is over, with NO EXTRA MOVEMENT, you turn over the deck and reveal that the entire deck has been restored to new deck order. As a final kicker, their selection is restored to its EXACT location in new deck order.

Unlike existing triumph effects, Anarchy allows you to show both the front AND the back of the deck throughout the trick, from beginning to end.

In the instructional video, Ryan also teaches a completely sleight-free variation of the classic Triumph effect, where the restoration of the deck is done during the display of a ribbon spread, visually turning over every face-up card one by one, without squaring the deck.

To ease the workings of the effect and for the best experience of the user, we have also taken the extra efforts to produce Anarchy in premium bee stock and air-cushion finish. In addition, Anarchy is also traditionally cut.

What you will receive?

- One custom printed Anarchy deck (red only)
- Approximately 40 minutes of in-depth online instructions by Ryan Goh and Avi Yap
- One PDF manual

Thoughts from the professional magicians:

"Wow! That was incredible. It fooled me. Thanks for sharing your magic with me."
- Wayne Houchin

"If you're going to use a gaffed deck, it better look innocent and produces a miracle moment. Anarchy does exactly that - and you get all the credit!"
- Gregory Wilson

"This trick is going to BLOW your audience's minds!!!"
- Harapan Ong

A 1 Effective Triumpant Challenge! Report this review

While many have complained about having to do a perfect faro shuffle, it can only help skilled magicians & those not so skilled to perfect this slieght. If you want a great effect, then practice, practice, practice makes what?... PERFECT! I salute and want to thank the creator for giving card magicians the challenge to once again practice an important slieght that can be used in other card tricks too. This is an awesome effect and it should be bought without hesitation!

If you want to perform it exactly as in the video with the deck coming out in new deck order and the missing card fitting in that spot, you will have to be able to execute a perfect faro. If you can't, they do offer a sleight-free version, but it doesn't end with the deck in new deck order and, to me, is a weaker version of Triumph than the original. You cannot use the deck for any other effects, and it can't stand any scrutiny at all. There is also some minor craft work you will have to do to one of the cards, and one of the people in the video even talks about how he messed up badly trying to do this the first time to a card. That just seems like you should fix the cards before sending them out.

If you can execute a perfect faro, this is a wonderfully visual trick. If you don't have that ability, then skip this one and just do a regular Triumph routine so you can use your deck for other effects later rather than have to switch it out.

The irony when all is said and done is there is too much emphasis on being an expert at the card table because of the perfect Faro aspect of this effect. Yes, if the performer has no interest in learning to Faro or cannot Faro shuffle don't get it. This effect however does not require any expert hard handling techniques. In fact other than practicing the Faro it seems simple enough to do.

If the performer can handle a deck with confidence and is ready to start learning at an intermediate level, It will take moderate practice to perfect.

I personally purchased this deck before it goes out of print. You just never know how long these types of decks will be available.

If you do not know how to Faro and are interested in learning to Faro Shuffle look to Michael Close for guidance. I was doing a solid faro within a day of my first exposure to his training.

The Anarchy tutorial is brief and can can be slightly confusing. I would not put off investing in Anarchy because of it, but it could have used some expert advice on the arts can crafts aspect. DO NOT use scissors. The gimmicks should have come gaffed, but since they are not and normally require a very specific card jig. The expert advice I have received on similar projects is to use ultra-fine sandpaper to shape the gaff.

The ad copy shows a card being signed, but this is only encouraged for corporate performances since it was also recommended not to use standard maiden back replacements as it will affect the ability to Faro. In other words the card is signed the Anarchy deck will need to be replaced. I did not notice anything significantly special about the card stock, and I will be investing in a maiden back deck and find out for myself.

Also it should be noted although Anarchy was created to be its own trick, it is also a utility and can be utilized outside of the scope it was intended.

Am I glad I got this. Yes, I am pleased with this investment. There were no surprises other than the advice not to have the card signed. It was always my expectation to simply get a standard maiden back deck if I wanted to do the signed card, and I will be looking into this as an option.

Who would appreciate owning this. I think this is an excellent bridge for any card magician who ready start including card magic beyond the self-working gimmicked decks, and you cannot go wrong learning how to do a perfect faro to step up your game.
