I purchased this effect from another vendor as it was sold out on Penguin. I wanted to offer some
insights as well as address some of the questions in the comments.
No doubt you saw this
on Fool Us and that’s what brought you here to consider a purchase. If you want to know if it’s a
good purchase and worth the money, I’d say yes.
What you get are cards (spectators can
handle but not inspect) an ordinary sateen bag (fairly nice) and a nice bit of instruction in French
and English, along with several variations and handlings.
The instructions in English are
overdubbed and a bit meandering, and some of the setup instructions aren’t immediately clear from
the first video but it all starts to gel by the end and I think the rather ingenious method of this
trick becomes easy to understand.
Are there sleights? Not in the traditional sense, but
if this is performed outside of the bag (a better, stronger option, IMHO), it will require some
subtle maneuvers to hide your meaningful actions among all of the chaos that makes this effect such
a head-scratcher.
Indeed, it appears the bag and pre-selected cards from the routine used
on Penn & Teller were conceits to keep them from busting the trick and I think it’s suspicious when
there is no illusion of choice and the magic happens out of sight.
You could, in fact,
have spectators freely select cards and do the trick right out in the open, which I think could be
truly devastating to lay audience.
All in all, this is a really nice effect with lots of
possibilities. I would encourage you to get it and look at the alternative handlings in the
instructions.

Do not wait until this trick is sold out. In being involved 70 years in magic with cards, I can
honestly say this is one of the top 5 tricks ever produced. It fooled Penn & Teller and it will
knock the socks off anyone watching it being performed by Duviviers beautiful talented daughter. I
urge anyone interested in card magic BUY THIS. You wont be sorry and I don't work for Penguin. Its
just an honest evaluation form an 81 year old magician who loves card tricks.

I love the method. But the effect is very difficult to perform. It would be improved if the
[redacted]. I have performed it a few times and and it takes a long time to execute and then I have
been successful only about half of the time.
The other thing which is very disappointing is
that the bag supplied is far too small to do the the trick. Certainly much smaller than the one she
used on the Penn and teller show.
If I were to attempt to add this to my permanent
repertoire, I would have to have a larger bag made, and to do some work to [redacted].
The
method is really clever. It is too bad the the props supplied don't live up to it.

This is an easy yet powerful trick to to! I got this from another magic dealer but my review goes
her! The video is a little hard to keep up with but I understood it. The options they give are good
and can be done with or without the bag! Real easy and fun to do!

Ok, few things here, quite expensive for what you get but when you have done what you need to for
the 5 card reveal you actually have 2 decks so one spare just in case.
I force the 5 cards
making out I was going to force 1 and then decide to give 4 more cards out to 4 other people. They
put them back anywhere and shuffle as much as they like and then you reveal them face up in a face
down deck. Just think about this, you have your back turned and don't even see where the cards go
in. Then they are shuffled and mixed up.
Magicians are fooled as a stxxxxxr deck cant tell
whether the cards are face up or down.
I have only done this a handful of times but the
reactions of laymen is staggering. I use the bag as I think you could give the method away if you
don't.
Not a strolling trick but definitely worth saving this for the top table and
bringing this out to impress.
All in all very satisfied and as its quite expensive for just
another card trick not everyone will buy this so not so well known.

This is one of the best items that I have bought here on Penguin Magic!

great reactions!

When I first learned the method I thought I was probably going to end up returning the trick out of
concern that I wouldn't be able to reliably do it. SO GLAD I DIDN"T. With just a little practice
(20-30 minutes, which was fun), I could nail it 100% of the time. (There is a tip that I didn't hear
in the instructions for increasing the reliability that I can't share here. But, I posted it on the
forum that purchasers have access to.) Also, the trick comes with a link with video instructions
that have dubbed over English (just scroll down the page).
Not a reason to buy this
stunning effect, but the happiness and cheer with which this is presented will give many a warm
feetling. Very worth the $$!

Not only will this baffle your audience, it is also easy and fun to perform. The first time I did
it, I had no idea that it would work but it does, every time. A bit of practice and off you go.
Check out the Alexandra Duvivier's performance on Fool Us.

I don’t mean to brag, but I did it. I didn’t even watch all the instructions. I set it up then
shuffled then shoved em in the bag and in less than three minutes the deck was straightened out with
the four aces face up. I practiced no more than an hour and I have the video to prove it worked for
me. Folks, if I can do this, anyone can.
This is SOOOOOOOO good. EVERYTHING can be
examined before during and after the effect. Once you know what to do and how to do it, it’s easy.
Even can be done without the bag!!!! So much is possible with this. If you’ve been in Magic a while
the decks will seem familiar and the method familiar too but combined they make everything possible.
I hope I didn’t reveal too much. This is truly diabolical. Just get it. Or don’t and let me do it.
That’s probably a better idea.

I love the trick and the method. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the bag. The bag she
used on Penn and Teller was much larger.
The bag that came with the trick is too small and
not shaped properly to allow me (and I'd assume others) to easily perform the required moves.
To overcome this problem without having to buy material and make a larger bag, I use a large
pillow case instead and find that works well as long as I don't put the pillow case past my elbows.
Even with the bag issue, I would highly recommend this trick to others.
