As my first foray into rubber band magic (a card guy for two decades)I was excited when I seen link
em and thought maybe it's about time I branch out and add some cool rubber band tricks to my
repotois
I didn't know I would need to by another product to make this trick work, then I also
need joe rindfleish rubber bands not saying in the video that he uses size 19 and the ones I
purchased were size 16 ( way to small). So two weeks later my attempt to link two rubber bands so
far has cost me almost $50 and I still do not have the correct bands and I am not performing the
trick....back to my cards

I have to admit I was fooled when I saw Link’em The linking of the rubber bands is very visual But
I wouldn’t perform it close up You need some distance You also need to buy something extra but its
cheap and the rubber bands can be handed out and examined at the end Only downside I think the price
is a little too high for what it is but I do Love it It’s great out-of-the-box thinking.

I saw Joel demo this in Blackpool. I was 12 inches away from him, and it looked really good!! The
lad stood at the side of me was stunned and examined the two bands for about a minute, convinced
that they had to be gimmicked :) (they aren't!!). I didn't buy immediately, but it bugged me all
day, so I downloaded that evening.
This will take some practice (which is a good thing) to
get it looking slick and convincing, but I think the effort will be more than worth it!!
A
really good trick, especially to combine with other RB effects as part of a routine.

Link two ungimmicked rubber bands together VISUALLY, then unlink them VISUALLY, and immediately hand
them out (no switches). This is what I was looking for and Joel Dickinson delivered. Requires
practice (of course), but well within the range of most magicians.

Definitely the most visual linking rubber band trick. Mastered it in ten minutes. I think the price
is fair bc the effect is so clean and you’re not hiding the ends of the bands in your hands like the
others I’ve seen. I feel like most rubber band tricks are played out but this new way is something
I’ll be doing for awhile. If you’re doing band stuff now throw it out and get this.
This effect is super visual, pretty clean, and handles fairly easily. There are moments that require
some practice, but nothing's beginner shouldn't be able to master within a couple of hours, if that
even. So why only 4 stars with all these positives? Because you need to either already own, or
purchase a little something extra. This "something extra" is one of the most widely used magic props
of today and is very inexpensive and definitely worth it. I just think customers should be made
aware of that fact, BEFORE making the purchase, so THEY can decide IF they want to spend the extra
money. Like I said the something extra is only $10 bucks, and is sold by yigal masika. Not trying to
tip the method, just trying to give customers the heads up so they can add it to their order. All in
all, pretty good effect.
Joel has created a piece of eye candy. I bought this the moment I saw the trailer and so glad I
did. It's not too knacky at all. The Facebook group is alive and well and Joel personally responds
at speed. This when you perform it just blows people away. Plus it's super clean and totally
examinable before and after.
Using one of Joel's favorite adjectives, this is "brilliant!" and is, perhaps, my best Penguin
purchase from the past 12 months.
It does require you to make or purchase an additional item
(the gimmick). The good news is a) you may already own this gimmick, b) the gimmick has multiple
applications for other effects, and c) it is very reasonably priced (less than $10 for 6).
I
absolutely love all of the Joel Dickinson routines I have purchased and this is no exception.
Likewise, he is very thorough and complete in his teaching which I appreciate.
Link 'Em will
take practice to perfect, but nothing is too difficult or knuckle-busting.
Finally, adding more
value to your purchase, he teaches a bonus rubber band effect which, in and of itself, is great and
should not be overlooked!
