I have been performing this for some time and I can attest to wonderfulness of the trick. Point of
this review, however, is to propose a better value proposition for fellow magicians.
If
this is a) your introduction to Woody's material and just want to get a feel of his magic, or b)
intro price($15) is an ideal budget for you, purchase this download.
However, if you are
willing and able to stretch your budget,
I would highly recommend Woody's Penguin Live
lecture. He explains Love Ritual, another absolutely wonderful trick Maverick (youtube it), and the
concept behind separagon. It's the best value for money for Woody's fan

The most important thing here is to understand what you're getting before you pay full price for
this. If you haven't seen the basic trick, do a Google search for "fool us found the love" to see
the YouTube clip of P&T performing this at the end of an episode of "Fool Us".
It's a
self-working trick, and you can probably figure out the full workings yourself in under 10 minutes.
Also know that it's the same trick as "How To Find Your Other Half" from the Woody Aragon
Live lecture, and it's also featured (with only a basic explanation - but sufficient) in the Penguin
Live Super Sampler.
So if you're buying this trick individually, you're really doing it
to get Aragon's alternative handlings and presentations, or perhaps for the detailed explanation if
you don't want to take the time to work it out yourself.
With all that in mind, I do love
the routine.
What I like best is that it's actually a math trick, with all of the
misdirection aimed at making it fun and drawing attention away from anything related to its
mathematical nature. That aspect of it is absolutely brilliant. It's a night vs day difference from
other self-working "math tricks" (such as Gray Elephant In Denmark). The audience will leave
thinking that it was simply a really fun card trick.
Other thoughts... you'll have to
sacrifice a full deck for each 13 participants, so make sure you bring plenty of extra cards in case
you end up with a larger audience than expected.
And more importantly, think about the
clean up. Not the disposing of a gimmick kind, as you have nothing hidden. But if each participant
throws away seven card pieces, you're making a mess that will have to be cleaned up before the room
can be used for anything else. You need to be aware of what problems that might cause before you
plan to perform this routine.
Still, it's a GREAT routine that can be performed even by an
absolute beginner, is lots of fun, and the bigger the group, the better.

This has to be one of the best packet tricks I have ever bought over the years.I have already found
a place for
it in not only my walk around but for stand up show as well.
I knew how it was
done before I bought it, but really did not know all the ins and outs of why and what fores.
He
really goes into great detail well worth the money.

I have loved this effect since experiencing Luis De Matos perform it in The Illusionists for a
theatre full of people. You can use any deck of cards. No advance preparation required. Can be done
for one person or a thousand people. Allows for personalisation to your character and performance
type. And with some practice can be done not only with cards but with a page from a magazine which
really enhances the performance. Suitable for stage, close up or even through video conference. The
effect is clearly taught and once you have mastered the basic handling it’s relatively easy to
customize to your own style.

It's possible to duplicate a version of this Woody Aragon's trick by studying Youtube videos, but
that could take you hours, and you would not have an understanding or respect for Woody Aragon's
talents, wisdom, and kindness he's sharing. Plus, you would be stealing. The video is well made,
easy to follow, and contains the knowledge and understanding you can only get from someone that has
performed the routine a thousand times. Well, worth the small dollar investment. PS-I'm finding my
audiences or loving this fooler routine.

I have seen this performed live by another of Penguin's stable of magi. I knew immediately that I
wanted to learn it because it can involve the entire audience. That depends simply on how many
packets of four cards that you want to gather and hand out.
I was ecstatic to see Woody offering
it to us all. His explanation and teaching are good although, since Spanish is his first language, I
found myself having to figure out what he meant in his explanation of certain steps. That is not a
reason for any less than five stars.
This is great, fairly easy to learn, it can be very funny
and, will certainly be entertaining. I have seen the impact it has on an audience. It may not be a
show closer due to Woody's lighthearted approach, but you'd best do it before an intermission
because it may be hard to get control of the audience once they have experienced The Love Ritual. To
be honest, I am not crazy with the name of this effect, but your spectator's never need to know
that. I waited a long time for this. Although there is some chance of some of the audience failing
to be successful, that would be because they did not follow your directions. Most of them will
succeed and be delighted. Highly recommended!

I love this effect. I mean it has been performed by some of the top Magicians and on TV. It’s nice
as you can perform to 1 or 200. Disclaimer: Every time you perform this, you rip cards. So if you
perform to 1 person, you rip /destroy 8 cards. This don’t matter to me , but it may matter to some.
My advice is to get some dollar decks somewhere that you don’t mind destroying. This is worth it. It
is a do as I do routine . You will need a strong presentational patter/script. I just a love type
script to couples and how fate bright them together. I also use an insurance themed patter for
people in that industry and talk about “loss” and salvaging property. Point is you will need some
patter as it will be boring without it. Great tutorial by Woody. He is fun to watch and listen to.
Audience engagement is high as is the impossible ending.

Woody is an incredibly gifted magician and this trick is genius in its execution.Ever since I saw
Penn and Teller perform this I wanted to know this miracle. Woodys explanation is quite clear and
detailed enough for anyone to accomplish this miracle. Please dont hesitate in purchasing this trick,
its worth every penny.

Astonishing!! That is the word. I knew the love ritual thanks to the first Woody’s Penguin lecture,
and I have performed several times in public with big success. But this is something else. If you
love the trick you have to buy this video. You won’t regret it.
