I purchased this because of a previous routine of Larry's, "The Friendship Game." As a new magician,
I appreciate that you do not need special card handling skills for his routines. What I like most is
how he turns each routine into a story which allows you to connect with the audience. The riffle
shuffle he adds here makes it even more amazing. Finally, his instruction video is very through and
his teaching style is excellent. I now have 5 of his routines and recommend Larry's routines highly,
especially for newer magicians.

After I saw the method, it hit me that this is sort of one of the first card effects I did, so I'm
sure anyone can do this. What's great about it is the subtleties that Mr. Hass provides that go
along with it - there are no difficult sleights, there are no "weird" moves and it can be performed
immediately using a borrowed deck with no set-up.

I think of Larry Hass as a magician-scholar, so you not only get a well explained technical overview
(including relevant references to sources and creators), but also appropriate patter tailored to the
effect. His teaching style is casual and complete. You learn his version of a deceptive p**k that
I’ll be using in other mentalism effects. It’s an easy to do, impromptu, no-sleight moment of “WoW”
that leave your spectators pleasantly stunned.

The spectator never sees the finale coming! The method here "covers its tracks" from the very
beginning. There are many JUSTIFIED layers here so that your spectator will feel "all's fair"
throughout the effect -- yet, they'll be fried at the end. Larry Hass has come up with a winner!!
Easy to do, and fun to present!

Was hesitant when a neighbor threw me a deck and said show me something so I gave this a try (of
course I've been practicing) and blew them away more than once.

The trick is okay not the greatest Mentalist card trick that's for sure. The method is okay having
them pull out five or six cards including their own that part could cause suspicion, I don't like it
because now it's not an impossible trick. But after all they don't know that you know what their
card is so it may pass. But this trick really needs a good patter line or a good story in order to
pull it off or else it's just boring and too long. I gave it a three cuz it's over priced for a
slight every magician knows. In saying all that it is a practical trick with a borrowed deck.

If you want a good trick that is simple to do but has a fun payoff, One Card and One Card Only is a
good choice. There is one easy move that needs to be done well, but otherwise, the workings of the
trick are simple and it allows you to focus more on the performance and the connection with the
participant.

This is an easy trick to learn but like all magic tricks it needs the appropriate patter especially
to differentiate it from other 'pick-a-card...find-a-card' tricks. Larry's patter is excellent, well
thought out and works for his style... but it might be a little too cerebral (and long) for the
average lay audience. I think this trick gives the magician the chance to develop a patter that fits
his/her own style and personality. That's what I have done and it is a 'killer' routine. Thanks

One card and one card only is as close to real mentalism as it gets!

I would give this 10 if I could, but I can't. It would be bad to NOT get this. PLEASE, FOR YOUR OWN
GOOD, GET THIS.
