I've benefited so often from the reviews on this site I decided to take the first leap for a change
but now I've learned my lesson.
For those unfamiliar with lie detector routines this could
be worth a peek (for half the price) but I'd recommend looking at some of the great routines that
have been well reviewed on the subject.
I was impressed at the length of the instructional
video - until I started watching. It's more of a Q&A / interview style repeatedly going over the
same information. The method is summed up five minutes and the rest is repeating most of the same
information without structure.

I purchased this download with my birthday money through gritted teeth. I read the negitive reviews
but decided to roll the dice anyway.
Was the trailor slightly missleading?
Perhaps, but
that's the cost of doing business in the magic game. Is this a good tool to have in your toolbox?
Yes.
Without giving too much away, the foundation of this effect is the same as Jay Stanky's
99 dvd. Which is a tremendous tool to have in your toolbox. I fooled
An Indian Dr. with what I
learned on that dvd, so I know the technique is potant.
This takes that technique to the next
level & allows you go a few different directions with it.
I definitely had to modify it to
suite me. I do it slightly differently than what Jamie teaches.

I bought VMRS before any reviews as I'm a fan of Jamie's work and find his visual and written
teaching style easy to follow.
Whilst the video downloaded I had a scan through the
additional pdf. A wave of disappointment came over me when I saw images and descriptions which
matched some content of the The Tracker book (which I had purchased earlier in the year), my
disappointment meant I only cast my eyes through the document and didn't digest the content as I was
keen to get started on the video to see if my disappointment was valid.
I was worried that
I wasn't going to learn anything that wasn't covered in the book.
However, Jamie is very
good at taking a concept and building on it, often making you think why didn't I think of that.
My disappointment soon faded as Jamie explained how the concept could be applied to virtual
meeting presentations and that's when my light bulb moment happened.
The video itself is
made up of recorded performances of Jamie performing online 1 on 1 or for a couple via video call
and, I'd describe it as, teaching through conversation with Dee Christopher (big fan of Dee's work
too) again via video call - we get so used to the high quality, HD, over produced videos it can
catch you off guard when you start watching something that isn't a studio filmed converstion with
people sat next too each other (remember those days...). In the UK we are still in lockdown and have
been for 8+ weeks.
The video works, tells you what you need to know and given the
circumstances I think Jamie has done a good job of giving us the opportunity to perform something
for friends, family, colleagues and those that are performing online shows over skype, zoom, Teams
etc.
Some of the information is glossed over (re dice) but rewatching and thinking about it
logically it will make sense. There's a bit towards the end of the video where Dee references
something to clarify an earlier point but I feel it's been put in the wrong place and should have
been cut in nearer the point he is referring to.
Overall, as the owner of The Tracker, VMRS
does feel like an add on and as a result I feel is slightly overpriced for what you get. I may have
held off on the purchase until the reviews came in had The Tracker been mentioned.
I'm also
disappointed that my favourite routine from the book is discussed in the video and included in the
pdf - but that's just me.
Would I be disappointed as a new purchaser? I don't think I
would.
As an owner of The Tracker would I use anything taught in VMRS? Yes, and therefore
it's a worthwhile purchase for me. I'm looking forward to trying it out with my colleagues over MS
Teams over the coming weeks.
Thank you Jamie for bringing this out, I appreciate the work
any creator is putting out at the moment to allow us as performers to take our art in a new
direction and challenging us to think about how we can still entertain in the current environment.

This is not as portrayed, and I agree with the other low star comment. More of a dialog with a
peer/interview than instruction. Weak and a waste of money. I respect those who dig this and feel
they got what they paid for, but don't look down on those who don't feel as you do and act superior.
I hate that BS. Just agree to disagree. Respectfully, this blows.

While some of the plots are great, the routines are really easy to backtrack. Something we did in
middle school.

Well, the first think I thought when watching the first uncut performance, was that I felt scamed. I
was really disapointed. Some very bad mathematical force was involved and I really don't like the
kind of "mentalism". The one used here is so obvious that I hardly imagine someone been amazed by it
(at the opposit of what Jamie said).
But what came next was much more interesting. The
mathematical stuff is just a mean that can be replaced by other methods. And the idea that Jamie
uses next is really precious because it allows to obtain a couple of very personnal information of
the spectator, which is for me the biggest goal of mentalism.
Unfortunately, this aspect is not
studied at all. This is a big lack and make this video very "amateur".
I have to mention that in
the attached pdf is included a very very good routine that should be mentionned in the trailer and
in the video (together with a live performance) in which you guess the position of 3 coins.
This
routine plus the main idea makes this video valuable , but overpriced.

This was well worth the money I knew the first part but he expanded the use by far more than I ever
thought to use it . I couldn’t wait to call my buddy and use it after practicing for a 1/2 hr he all
ways tries to catch me I blow his mind away this is a must have during lock down but think I can
still use it in my shows live. At the end they said see you next time I hope I don’t miss his next
down load if there is one this deserves 10 stars live it

sorry to say i was very disappointed with this effect. I felt that the promo video was very
misleading. I have purchased many Penquin Downloads but, this one simply was not worth the money.
wish i could get my money back
