First, I just wanted to say: I am not a friend of Joseph's nor do I know him in any capacity. A friend of mine (who, by the way, is also not acquainted with Joseph in any capacity) recently shared this effect with me and I liked it so much that I wanted to share my thoughts on it. That is why I am writing this review.

With that aside, let us get into the review.

We have all seen impossible card location effects before. There are thousands of them. A card is selected by the participant in some way, lost in some way, and then the performer locates it in some way. What makes this particular impossible card location effect so interesting is the fact that it brings something new to the table. The effect takes two already existing principles and combines them. It is the combination of these two principles that is new here. I have studied hundreds of impossible card location effects over the years, and, while I have seen each of these two principles used (in some way or another) in many of them, I have not seen the combination of the two used in any of them. So, while I was completely familiar with each of these two principles, I was still completely fooled by the effect because the thought of combining the two principles in this manner is something that did not occur to me at all.

Having said that, in my opinion, this is not something to be performed for the average layman. The reason being, there are already so many impossible card location effects out there that this may just come off as being "another one" to the average spectator. But, that said, this would be a GREAT item to perform for other magicians and those spectators who know a bit about card magic or are naturally just quite good at figuring out card effects. For these audiences, this is a great effect to have in your repertoire.

The method is very good but you can not perform this effect just after you receive a borrowed shuffled deck. The preparation is not practical and it would take too much time.
