All In all, this was my first card to clear the box but I did notice issues.
1. The handling is
a bit off.
2. Once the gimmick is made, you can't change it.
3. With the original handling
the slight pop sound is very noticeable.
The good thing is that I have solved these issues
and can be found on the Secret Facebook Group Page.
I'd say that I like this box over the
Clarity box.
-It is smaller and looks just like a full card folded up instead of just aside.
-Better angles.
How is it compared to Paragon 3D?
-Well I like Paragon 3D for how
clean it is. How you can see the card being tossed out onto the hand. You can see 360 degrees of the
object inside the box.
-However, if you have Paragon 3D, you know the clean-up.
This is
in my personal Opinion a mindless version.
Let me explain.
You take the box out and set it
on the table. You can or do not have to call attention to it.
You have a card selected and
signed. You do what you need to do. Call attention to the box. and then just activate the box to do
the switch and hand the card to the participant.
You end clean, and everything can be examined.
with Clarity Box and Paragon 3D, you either do not end clean or nothing can be examined.
The reset for the Vision Box 2.0 is a bit annoying and I haven't tested out a fix for it yet.
But I have some ideas on that. I do however feel the gimmick was made to force buyers to have to buy
more. Each Gimmick can be found on the Joao Miranda Website in the accessories tab. At $15/Gimmick.
But With my Mod, you won't have to.
There is what I call a dead spot. Which is that the
gimmick can not be shown 360degrees. Butttttt The issue largely goes unnoticed as there is no point
to prove the validity of the card inside. When I use it. I pull the box out and just set it on the
table. Or I have a person hold on it it. I instruct them to put their thumb on the lid so it doesn't
fall off. I then continue the effect. The box will usually fall out of people's minds. If they are
checking out the box and not what you are doing. You're magicing wrong lol.
All in all.
For the Price. This is a great device. There is minimal construction. A bit more If you choose to
mod it (Which I recommend) It has a fairly fast reset. That can be made faster if as you turn away,
start the reset and then turn back around as you reset and it looks like you are just putting
another card in the box.

Bought it directly from Joao but i am a frequent Penguin customer and would like to rate it.
The retention of vision is great, what you see in the trailer is possible.
But
1. You need to decide which card you would like to use.
For the price asked they should
have included another gimmick so you can use a playing card and the blank card.
2. It makes
a unnecessary clapping noise which could have been easily muted with some further thought and
materials.
4. The Box looks a bit suspicious because it is not clear on all sides and that
might give something away.
5. It feels like the V1 Boxes got “recycled“ with it.

I have never owned the first Vision Box, BUT this 2.0 OMG!!!! This is amazing I swear this should be
priced waaaaay higher. I am so amazed at the workings. I can't stop doing it and just looking at how
perfect the box looks up close ...like 1-2 inches away. This thing is a beauty. Flawless! It is
very, VERY sturdy and the gimmick is very secure, you could probably juggle with the box in its
loaded stage without activating the gimmick. The best way for me to describe this is, it feels like
you are performing a stage illusion 1-2 inches away from the spectator WITHOUT exposing anything...
everything is perfect, you will not regret this purchase.

I like many have sat on the fence during the release of the original version. It looked too good to
be true to be honest.
There are obvious aspect to the effect that need to be mastered to
make the best use of the device, but there is Joao provides a entry level method as well.
The illusion can be used for different types of predictions, but based on the methodology, it
may require refills and/or a separate unit for each prediction type.
I don't believe this
is something most magicians will use more than once in a performance, and so it pretty safe to say
they will likely settle on one of the three gimmick types provided.
Maybe magicians more
familiar with its use can comment on that aspect. Out the box it is designed for red and blue
Bicycle Rider Back cards and billets. Other deck types will require arts and crafts.
Am I
glad I got this at last. You betcha! This tiny illusion plays big, and what you see if what you
get.
Prior to my purchase I had seen other magicians perform the original version live
and it was mind blowing. According to the ad copy this version is even better. As far as I can tell
angle concerns are minimal to none depending on the handling. It can be performed under very close
scrutiny.
5 out of 5 stars. This hits all the benchmarks as far as I am concerned.

Well made prop but probably a bit overpriced.

Vision Box 2.0 is absolutely the best prop for card to impossible location. I'm retiring my Kennedy
Mystery Box. I would recommend Todd Lamanske's Bullet which I use to make perfect Mercury folded
cards. The 2 products go together like cream and apple pie.

I have always wanted the perfect card to impossible location. I went through a lot. This is
absolutely worth the money! I am the owner/operator of the Bisbee Seance Room (never closed during
Rona) i perform 20 shows a weekend every weekend of the year. The Vision box 2.0 will be in every
show this point forward!

I think a review is due from someone who owned the original. I brought the original vision box as
soon as it was released. I’ve tried every other card to clear box out there and this one blew the
rest away. The working of it is near self working, the action of removing the card is natural. In
other words, it’s perfect.
So why bring out vision box 2.0? Because Joao isn’t ever happy
unless something is constantly evolving, which is the right frame of mind to have as a magic
creator. This new version fixes issues that I didn’t know were issues from the first version. It’s
easier to reset, it’s more sturdy, you can actually fold up a card or billet in front of the
spectators before placing it inside, once it is inside its not coming out until you want it to. For
me this is as good as the clear box principal could get. Well done Joao; another happy customer here

Excellent quality, it brings everything you need, the teaching is very good. The best creation of
that kind of effect. João Miranda one of the best magic creators in the world. Buy yours before they
run out.
