Great Book! Bio's really make this a great collection. The negative is the paper quality. The pages are so thin, like bible pages, that they can easily tear if you are not careful. Although over 600 pages the thickness is the same as a 300 page book. Other than that, it is fantastic. The over size large print make it a wonderful book to muse through.

For the money you can't beat it! Corinda's 13 Steps and a history of Mindreading. Hardcover book, so worth the price!

Enjoying the book. Great way to grow in knowledge that you can use to developed your own ideas. History and the performer's versions are real interesting.

I have only had the book for a day, so I this is not an in-depth review, but it does not take an expert to recognize the value in owning this book. To add context I will refer to the following analogy; It is the difference between operating a smart device with proficiency and being only mildly aware of the technology behind it. In fact the majority of smart device users are completely oblivious to the technology. This does not make them any less proficient in it's use, but the question as to how such as device is even possible is unimportant. The only thing that matters is it is...

If the historical rational, theory, inventiveness, and concept of origin is import to the practitioner, then this book is important, otherwise continue to do what works best... There is no harm, no foul either way.

I will also comment on the quality of the book itself. The pages are thin .08 mm to be exact and the book is 10 x 8.5 inches large. The cover itself is a glossy print and is of average construction typical of a book in this price range. I would not put this in the coffee table category. This book is best suited for desktop reading.

I bought Corinda's book from Tannen's in 1970 and learned so much about not only mentalism, but presentation.

I used several of the methods in my corporate presentations, starting when I was working at IBM in 1977.

Still using them today!

I'm really enjoying this book. It's packed with articles from the past to the present. A great read for the aspiring mentalist.

I very much enjoyed this book. it is both informative, and amusing. it is a wonderful thing to see the history of mentalism, and mentalists. even better to then learn the skills that made so many of them famous (Infamous?)

I didn't even bother with the Encyclopedia part, I was only after the 13 steps. After awhile, you realise that so many of these tricks require things that are out of date nowadays. A lot of the props that seem natural are aboslutely not normal anytime. Also, some tricks require a riduculous amount of skill and you ask yourself "That won't actually work, right? And no, they don't actually work(most of them). Yes, there are a few hidden gems, but I would definately not consider it "the Bible of Mentalism".
Sorry, but it's not THAT good.
