I love this deck! The whole vibe with the custom artwork is killer. I have so many Wild West
presentational ideas!
The feel is awesome, I love the thin crush stock.
The
markings are solid. No, they’re not as easy to read as Penguin’s marked maidens, but that’s kinda
the point. We got spoiled by a super easy to read marked deck, and now anything that takes more than
30 seconds to learn gets a low rating from some because it requires practice.
Penguin even
highlights where the markings are in the demo video. What more can you ask for? I’m at a 99%
accuracy rate in reading the marks after messing with them for a single evening and I definitely
don’t have 20/20 vision.
If you need the world’s easiest to read marks, buy the Maiden
ones. If you want a cool western themed deck with a hidden bit very workable marking system, buy
these before they’re gone!

These cards are a fine quality, but if your eyes are not up to distinguishing extreme subtleties of
light and dark in very small areas, better to use Penguin's other marked cards.

considering this is a collectors item, i was very unhappy to see the collectors box was damaged

So where are the marks on the cards?
Other than that, these cards look, feel and handle great!!!

Although I no longer have good enough eyesight to see the marks, I still have fallen in love with
these cards.
The back design, and the faces, fit right in at the rodeos I work at. I have
received many comments about how they look.
As far as handling goes I love the feel of
them, and have not had any problems with fanning or with faro shuffles. All magic aside, rodeo
organizers have already asked me to get them some decks for the normal card games each night. I
won't because the marks will get them in real trouble at the tables...for now I will just be the
"unique" medic with the fancy cards.
Once I sell a kidney I will clean out the stock.
This is a great deck! the design is great and so are the markings. If anyone is interested, it is
easier to read the markings on the top right corner than the top left, that way you aren't trying to
discern them backwards ;)
Would have liked a white border instead of the full colour back
design, but I cannot mark the deck down for that when I knew what it looked like when I bought it :)
it is a great deck, would recommend!
The 'Wranglers' playing cards that I ordered were just as described and are very easy to handle,
although the 'markings' are a little hard to read, very subtle, but small. The one thing that I did
appreciate was the 'order acknowledgement' e-mail that I received......it was a video saying 'thank
you for your order' and also a short film of "my" deck of cards being wrapped, packaged & labeled
ready for despatching. I have never seen anything quite like this before, such a novel & unique way
of marketing......full marks for your inventive ideas....not sure how you can do this for each
customer...however, so very much appreciated...thank you Penguin.
Excellent quality and service!
Great deck. Great customer service, as well.
I am, only now trying to handle the wrangler deck as I’m being hired as a western Magic/ Gambler for
a high end Hotel and wanted to use a western themed deck. My purpose was not necessarily for the
marks, but it is certainly an advantage to have the capability to “read” the cards during any given
effect. However my eyes aren’t what they used to be and (even with glasses) I find it a bit
difficult to discern some of the cards. I’m sure it (like anything else) would simply take using
the marks a lot to quickly make that card discernment. I’m also presently professionally performing
at a venue that has rather low lighting and that, as well doesn’t lend to proper perception of the
marks. Don’t get me wrong… I really like the cards… Their quality and handling are equal to bicycle
playing cards… I do a lot of Farrow shuffles And they do lack a bit in that arena but I still rate
these cards pretty high.
