In 2019, Larry Hass released the first of two posthumous books that were to share all of Eugene Burger's unpublished materials. Carried out at Eugene's request and in close collaboration, these books reflect Eugene's fondest wish that his entire working repertoire would be available to magicians after he was gone.

Now, two years later, it is time for EUGENE BURGER: FINAL SECRETS.

Focused entirely on the masterful card magic that made Eugene a close-up star, FINAL SECRETS collects essays, interviews, and complete descriptions of seventeen real-world card routines that Eugene didn't share in any book-including Influence, Fishing, Order and Chaos, Thought Sender, and his legendary work on The Trick that Cannot Be Explained.

EUGENE BURGER: FINAL SECRETS also includes both the text and audio versions of Eugene's 1992 masterpiece, Growing in the Art of Magic. Thus, the book provides access to twenty-seven videos and audio recordings of Eugene performing and explaining his wonderful card magic, and sharing his wisdom about reaching toward excellence in the art.

The wait is over: you are about to receive Eugene Burger's FINAL SECRETS.

I have been a fan of Eugene since back in the mid-eighties when I first saw him lecture and took one of his master classes on equivoque. He was one of the greatest thinkers about magic in my lifetime.
This book is thicker than any of his other wonderful books (I have them all). In fact it it twice as thick. The material from the essays and transcribed talks, to the magnificant card material that he held back until his death, are simply fantastic.
There are lots of books that will teach you more tricks, but few that will make you a better magician. This is at the top of my list. Included are videos of Mr. Burger doing many of the pieces in the book (because they depend upon timing and subtlety rather than complex moves.
One should not think that these tricks are easy. The difficulty lies in the rehearsal required and the rapport created rather than the moves.
I cannot recommend this more highly. It is certainly in my top five books and right now (as I work my way through it) it is at the very top. Don't let this book get away from you. You will regret it for a long time.

Really love this book and all things he writes and lectures about.
Make sure to watch the videos via the link in the book.
The Trick that Cannot Be Explained is like jazz magic. I love doing this now.

I did not come to know about Eugene before his death but when I read this book I hear everything in his voice. The book gets you access to a bunch of videos so if you haven’t heard him before I can say with confidence that his unique manner will come across to you too. More than just a collection of magic tricks and essays this is a passion project from the community that loved him and in the end is a love letter to magicians everywhere. Some powerful pieces and some more powerful wisdom with which to use them by. A eulogy and a celebration of a life, this is a book you will actually sit down and read and like the man himself apparently did, make you feel something.
