The instructional video has so many tips for performing it that it's WELL worth the price. The end
is such a shocker that it's a great platform to start the rest of your card act.
My one caveat
is that I don't agree that *everything* is examinable at the end of the trick. Since the deck and
the box both are, though, it's a wonderful opener. You do this trick, and while the folks are
reeling from the effect, you can start into your next trick with the same deck, leaving the box
right there on the table so that it can be examined.
I love this effect - this is my new card
set opener.

Sorry I wanted to like this but I'll never use it, even for only a $5.00 download. That's because
it's done exactly how you think it's done. Now I understand why there wasn't any footage taken out
on the streets, or in a bar like most Penguin downloads.
It's probably because the trick
wasn't getting any good crowd reactions, and that this isn't going to fool anyone except perhaps
very young kids.
One of the problems is that at the moment the effect happens, you have to
turn your body AWAY from your spectators at an odd and unmotivated angle that will immediately
arouse suspicion.
I like Dalton and have purchased some of his other downloads, but
there's a reason why, as even though this effect has been up for a week now, as of the day I'm
writing this, there's only a total of 6 reviews posted and my guess is that others, like myself,
immediately guessed how it was done simply from watching the demo.
Even though you end
clean, the angle your spectator will see this at is unnatural and at the most crucial moment, the
effect has to be performed so fast, that your spectators will ask themselves
"Why is he
turning away from us and why is he suddenly covering up part of the trick?"
Because no,
they never actually see the card fully going through the deck.
That combined with the
sudden odd angle, means that this goes straight into (figuratively) my bottom draw of unused tricks.
The best I can give this is a "2".

a bit knacky but once you get it down audiences are floored, especially when you couple it with a
regular cards trick and use this to open

Solid through solid is always a good premise. The original effect is a cool way to start a card set.
I don't do much card work but like the effect. I load my harmonica chop cup in the card box instead
and have a great effect and surprise all in one.

Nice to see clever, new usable effect… The build is easy and the results worth the effort.

Really great trick. You don’t even have to do it. Just leave it there all ready to go as Jay
Says in the end.
This is well worth the money. Jay has more here than meets the eye. His demonstration and
instruction is excellent ... not too short, not too long. The "arts and crafts" are just plain
simple. I've decided to combine "52 Thru" with David Regal's "Sudden Deck 3.0". I explain that the
flat box comes from USPCC, but it came with the slits in the box ... and when I closed it up I
discovered I could take a Joker and push it thru the other 52 cards. So far, my friends and family
have found it "amazing" ... but I know I still have work to do on my patter and presentation. Maybe
someone else can help me on it. Thak you Jay Gill!
In spite of a few negative reviews in my opinion this is a very nice opener to get your spectators
attention. Yes, it can be a little obvious but the instructions are excellent and with practice and
a solid presentation it will look like a "miracle". I don't think turning away is an issue and with
a solid presentation it can look very natural. YES, you have to practice.
I must say this is a gift for the price and once I construct the gimmick and practice with the
effect a while I am convinced it will be a real fooler.
Highly recommend. Also the instruction
video was super helpful.
I am frequently motivated in my purchases by the presenter. Oz, and Rick Lax, and Dan Harlan have
dipped deeply into my wallet to the great improvement of my magic. Lately, it’s been Dalton Wayne
who has sold me on some terrific inexpensive effects, and each one has been a Winner, including “52
Thru”—SO MUCH GOOD STUFF for so little $! The DIY? It’s literally (as in “literally”)
z**,
z**, z**, z**, b**d. TAA-DAA! Now, how much of your day did That take, Malini? 😝
Anyway, I’ll
use this to explain ye olde sawing a MAN in half (gotta be sensitive) or take Dalton’s advice and
have it sitting there as as guests come in and wondering WTF????
Finally, can we get a petition
going to have Dalton put together a Penguin Lecture on just some fun workers that we can share with
kids and others?
I close my shows with teaching an easy effect that the adults can share with
their kids, like a straw, rubber band, or paper clip trick. You cannot imagine how that perks
them up and creates good will (and requests for my card)!
WE WANT DALTON! WE WANT DALTON!
