The Bill switch is kind of difficult to learn at first. It is not overly complicated but it requires
smoothness in execution. The original also has the problem of being cramped and your hand blocking
the bill for a second. Kevin King solved that problem. This handling is smooth and is extremely
visual. He does an excellent job teaching the trick step-by-step and even shows you and effective
way to practice. Overall, this is the only resource you need if you want to learn the bill switch.
1 of 1 magicians found this helpful.
Get this open box or from the Arcade and you'll be glad you did. It's a very good handling of the
bill switch. There is plenty of explanation and coverage of all the important angles in the short
runtime. Will require practice to perform as smoothly as presented but its well within the reach of
most.
This may be the smoothest bill switch I have ever seen, and you can make it just a smooth if you
follow his directions. I felt the price was a bit high for one move.
I've done bill switches for many years and do a more advanced version, where this will not work.
This is a slight variation on a single bill switch and I'm still definitely fine with the origonal
method but may play around with this a bit more in the mirror at times to look for any worthy subtle
nuance of the smoother fluid motion as mentioned with "Morph". I'm sure that I'd seen that method
before anyway. If you already do a good bill switch, I would not be rushing into getting this, or
at least get it for a deep discount which I did. Someone who has never done a bill switch before,
then this is one method and will show you this basic variation version which will look great to the
lay person watching.
A very clean switch. Kevin gives super clear instructions. Not much more to be said... It's
magical:-)
I bought this on an open box deal. The run time is roughly 19 minutes. I learned and performed
several bill switches, but this one is really my favorite. The fluidity of the technique is so nice.
I recommend if you want something that really looks magical get this effect. If you new to this type
of trick you need to put a little time in to get the techniques fluid. Like any other trick, put the
time to get the techniques proper it becomes a "magical experience" and it won't be just a trick.
You can tell the quality of the footage looks dated. However, the techniques are easy to see and the
instructions are very detailed. So I am not disappointed with this purchase or the quality. So if
your looking for this type of trick I would highly recommend this purchase.
This is a great opportunity to take out a gimmick that every magician has and never uses. YES, you
do need to be smooth and the technique is well explained repeatedly. Sorry, you have to PRACITICE
but in my opinion it is well worth the effort.
If you take the time to learn this switch, it is buttery smooth. Full price is a little expensive
for the trick, but if you can score it open box definitely pick it up if you need a bill switch
routine. Thanks Kevin!
Being a newbie, I'm at a point where I like comparing various methods to do the same effect, in this
case a bill change. The only current methods I have for a bill change comes from Jay Noblezada's
MONEY DVD/Download. I'm also not a fan of mentioning price (I did get this via Open Box for about
75% off so I personally can't complain) but the Noblezada DVD contains 16 different tricks for the
same retail price (I also purchased that via Open Box for about 50% off) whereas this only gives the
single method.
My only small complaint is that the resolution of the video is kind of
1980's quality, but still serviceable. The instruction by Kevin King is top notch with nice change
of angles and slow motion. There's very little padding in what is about a 20 minute video. This is
exactly as advertised and gives me what appears to be a classic TT approach to bill switching.
Mr. King has a very nice addendum in his credits where he lists a number of different Bill
Switches by name and magician for those, like me, who want to investigate further and alternate
techniques.
I love the bills switch in the variations on it. there is nothing new I miss if you already know the
basic Bill switch. he adds a little of his philosophy at movement but anybody you watch who does the
bills which regularly is already. glad I got this on a discount as it was described as something new
and unique and it isn't. If you don't know the basic Bill switch or you want a good reference for
the sequence, 5/5. If you're thinking this is something new or visually unique as suggested, 1 out
of 5. I guess it never hurts to have one more DVD in my "reference rack!"
