Roddy McGhie has done it again, created a card trick that's not really a card trick. Like "Little
Door" or "Xerox," this uses playing cards, but that's not what the effect is about. While it uses an
unassuming deck of Bikes, the trick quickly progresses to something the spectator hasn't seen
before.
The specialty cards are beautiful and unique, as is the whole premise. The reset
is nothing, and the presentation has "walkaround" written all over it. And best of all, the choice
is truly free, so you can indeed perform it at multiple tables with different results.
My
only word of caution is the deck is very unexaminable and there is no easy way to clean this up. I
didn't deduct a star because I think examinability is overrated. (When was the last time you saw
David Copperfield say, "I'm now going to bring my show to a grinding halt so the audience can
randomly examine my props"?)
And finally, a new (at least new to me) Penguin feature is
that the instructional download is added to your "MyPenguinMagic" page the moment you hit the order
button. While I'm used to waiting several days for Penguin products to make their way from
California to Virginia with the free shipping option, I love being able to get a head-start and my
curiosity satisfied with the instant gratification of the video.

When I first saw this effect, I was immediately intrigue and impressed by the method and
presentation. What a great use of a gimmick. I was not disappointed by what I received. I went
through the thorough explanation of the trick a few times and finally tried it out on some customers
at the bar/restaurant I work at with insane reactions. The customer that I performed it for had seen
literally dozens of my tricks and had me perform a private party at his house, so needless to say he
had seen many of my effects. He was blown away and was speechless, only saying that it was by far
the best thing he's seen me perform. Before settling on a card (which btw is a totally free choice),
he changed his mind on his choice which befuddled him even more. One of the best reactions I've ever
had from an effect and I've been doing magic professionally for almost 30 years.
Kudos to
you, Roddy!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even for a total beginner, this trick is easy to perform, and more importantly, it's fun. When the
tutorial explained the very, very simple move (if you can even call it a "move") that accomplishes
the trick, I didn't think it would fool anyone, but in fact, it does. Every time.
After
seeing how the deck is put together and learning the routine, you could potentially even make your
own deck with your own kids as a sort of family magic project. That's what we're doing! Everything
you would need to do that is available on penguinmagic.

Roddy has taken a classic an improved on it further and some more.
These cards are not only
beautiful in appearance but he makes the plot so believable and added a twist in the handling like
only the genius of Mr McGhie can.
Absolutely brilliant Gaz Lawrence 👍👍

The cards are well-made, the drawings are first rate, and the trick is fool proof. Maybe it's my
presentation but people find the trick amusing. Not astonishing. If you know Paul Curry's Touch,
it's the same effect and method but I think Touch is much stronger.

This is a fun card trick that takes everyone out of the standard card trick with a standard deck to
something no one has ever seen as in the effect, and the props. When I first opened the cards it was
a lot of fun just to go through the deck and pick my favorite hand drawn cards. I usually buy
tricks that I know how they are done so I know what I am getting this was no different I knew the
handling and which cards were gaff and as someone who has done magic for 16+ years I knew this would
amaze a spectator and I was right. A funny side note; my girlfriend who also loves magic and knows a
few tricks wanting to know the handling so I went through it with her and then I said let me preform
it from the start as if you have never seen it before, and at the end of the trick I showed her the
prediction card front and back, and guess what she was fooled by the trick lol 😂 which proves just
how good this effect really is!

I love this effect! The spectator just can't wrap their head around the reveal and how it works.
It is very deceptive. I also like the idea that the reveal can be any card in the deck. Very well
designed. I even love the packaging that it comes in. Highly recommended!

You might think that this is a little pricey but the quality of the trick speak for itself all the
way from the packaging to the props, the instructions and the trick itself. Easy to perform and a
fun fooler for your audiences.

Roddy McGhie is my new favorite magician. His tricks are unique. I love anything this man sells. I
was super excited to get this and I'm very pleased. You get a full deck of special cards and an
envelope for your predictions. There's nothing to go out and buy extra, no refills you'll have to
get, no flaps, or magnets. Just regular cards with cute artwork. The video is done nicely and Nick
Locapo teaches you step by step. The video is very well done, about 50 minutes long. This trick
doesn't require knuckle busting sleights. It only uses two very simple ones. People love this trick,
especially the ladies. They think the art and story is cute. I highly recommend this trick to anyone
wanting to do a different type of card trick. The art alone for these cards is well worth the price.

I love this trick. It's very simple and obvious to most magicians but the gimmicks are priceless. I
tell everyone my granddaughter wanted to be a magician so I told her she had to make her on deck of
cards..... lol
