I love the heft of this wand and it handles well doing one of John Ramsay's misdirection moves for cups and balls for example. It does take some adjustment if you normally use a plastic one as I have for years. This looks very professional and the tips look beautiful.

I LOVE the Mercury Wand. Based on the reviews that I read the Mercury Wand is the best wand on the market. Penguin Magic consistently has the best prices and they ship orders exactly when they say they will. I would recommend the Mercury Wand by Michael Ammar to anyone looking for a wand and I would recommend Penguin Magic as the vendor from which to buy it.

From a distance, the wand looks okay. However, up close the grip around the middle part is cut somewhat improperly and overlaps the silver tips at a diagonal. Additionally, the middle of the wand is much thicker than the tips, which gets more noticeable the closer you are. The balance is good and works well for Vernon's spin move, but I can't give this a great rating from that alone.

Overall, I would have preferred a wand with the same silver tips, but made from finished wood in the middle instead of the thick, oddly cut rubbery grip. For the price, I expected better quality.

Good weight. Looks excellent to spectators even up close. If you are looking for a wand that is as much a peice of art/furniture as it is a magical instrument, pass this by. It's just a metal rod with rubber over the middle. A prop. Before purchase, I thought the metal ends would be slightly bigger, so that the rubber in the middle would have an inlayed appearance. That did not turn out to be the case.

I bought this wand off of Michael's site and frankly I could have churned out something of the same quality in 10 minutes after visiting HomeDepot. For the amount of money I paid for this wand I expected it to resemble the photograph, without having to squint from 10 feet away.
