Full disclosure, Kyle is a friend and did send me a copy of ‘Bling Link’ to review. That being said,
I’ll be completely honest and fair with my review.
Quick Review: Despite some minor
production quality issues, ‘Bling Link’ is a great routine using two borrowed, ungimmicked items and
is within the grasp of any performer with some practice.
Production Quality: This download
is shot at the bar in the back of Grand Illusions, a restaurant/brewery Kyle regularly performs at.
It’s shot using a single camera (a phone camera, I presume) operated by Kyle’s wife. I do wish there
were some alternate camera angles used, as that would have been helpful with some of the moves
taught. The audio quality is poor at times, often becoming muffled throughout the video. There is
also quite a lot of background noise, as this was filmed in a place of business. Despite the audio
issues, you will still be able to learn the effect just fine. The tutorial is shot in HD, easy to
follow and well-explained.
The Effect: The effect is a linking and unlinking effect using
a borrowed bill and borrowed finger ring. If you like what you see in the trailer, you’ll be
satisfied with your purchase. The routine has some great moments, and the moves are pretty easy to
get down. My only complaint with the routine/handling is that the effect itself is quite small in
scale, as it uses a folded bill and finger ring, so your spectators will need to look close. I
realize that is just the nature of the effect, but I felt it was important to note.
If
you’re a fan of Kyle’s previous releases, especially The Hancock Effect & Hancock Change, I think
you’ll be quite happy with ‘Bling Link’ as it makes a great addition to any working repertoire.

I love Kyle. He's a great teacher and I relate with him easily. However, I felt that this video was
rushed. The background isn't conducive for teaching. The audio is inconsistent. I like how he
interacts with his camerawoman (wife) and I appreciate that she asked him to redo a part of the move
again. A different angle would be better but it still works.
I don't think this video is
overpriced for the ideas and the entire three-phase routine the promo video showed. It's exactly
like that and with an hour of practice, I was able to do the whole thing without referring back to
the video. This is probably around intermediate level and some moves might be knacky. I just
followed his routine as a mirrored version since he's a lefty and I'm not.
Still loved the
purchase but could have definitely been better. :)

I got to know Kyle through a mutual friend and he graciously provided me an advance copy to review.
To start I'm an amateur at all this, but my favorite effects are those that are impromptu
with every day objects. I work with college students, so it's always great to have something on hand
for them. You also gotta love Kyle shows the full performance on the purchase page. You know exactly
what you're getting! I've been looking for another great money trick, and this fit the bill... get
it?
I haven't performed it for others yet personally, because it does take a bit of
practice, but not a ton. I might be almost ready for my wife to see it first 😂. It's all so clean
and when you "link" the 3 phases together I think it has a great effect!

What a wonderful effect. People always talking about their EDC. Well this is EDC that you don't need
to C because all the props can be borrowed. The ring seems to melt on and off the dollar like real
magic. I found this easy to learn as Kyle's tutorial was easy to follow. Kyle is a very creative
thinker. I love this effect. Kyle is a nice generous guy as well.

liked for Kyle to show how to fold the bill at the start of the tutorial. The audio quality is poor

Honestly I've just watched the tutorial but knew by the trailer this is exactly what my
bar/walk-around set was lacking.
I've been doing ring magic for a good ten years and have
purchased most of the big names in this genres effects. Some of these multiple times. I lost my
ring the other day and am far from my place I keep most of my gimmicks.
I had to repurchase a
release that has the rings I like and Kyle's BLING LINK has been on my radar since the day it was
released. It was apparent this was the best way to turn my set from "look what I can do!"to "20
bucks little man put that s**t in my hand if that money doesn't show than you owe me owe me owe."
I love this because it does for my set what bill to lemon does for street/bar magicians. It
brings out a large bill which goes unsaid as an expected gratuity for my bar set and also serves as
a lead into bill in lemon for a larger streetshow. Absolutely one of the best bangs for the buck out
of my 200 or so penguin purchases.
