A sly packet trick display with multiple twists and turns! A nice performance piece that doesn't
involve spectator handling and allows the performer a multitude of presentational styles. Simple,
direct and effective. Perfect for EDC and fits in a wallet! Hopefully, more obscure Maven marvels
will continue to be released.

This is very good for a bar/casino setting imo.
The tutorial is taught very well by a PRO
Magician, Erik Tait
and you'll be blowing minds in .2
Though nothing is examinable at the
end, I haven't had anyone care to examine the cards after any one of my performances.
You'll
enjoy this classic!
FYI, you can also make a few of your own, granted you know what to look
for which just so happens to be provided right here on Penguin.

If you’re looking for a magical version of this classic con game here it is. I do the classic 3
card Monte as it just requires 3 cards from any pack really. If you are just doing a demonstration
of the con.
That said this provides for a magical follow up that is inexplicable to the classic
3 card Monte.
Be warned if you have a group of grabby spectators you may want to shy away from
this as the cards are not “showable”. Proper spectator/environment management will have to be
invoked for rowdy crowds.
Fantastic trick that is easy to learn and fun to perform. Rest
in peace Max/Phil

I'm really getting into packet tricks, especially Monte effects. This trick is so fun to practice
and perform. I recommend practicing without a sticker, since you don't need to use one if you are
practicing. The add says three cards are only used, which is true, but in the package I got four
cards. Not sure if it's just an extra or it was a mistake. You also get a small sheet of removable
stickers. Any sticker can work, you don't have to use the ones that come with it, but make sure they
peel off after your done. Easy sleights and easy reset. Perfect for table hopping and walk around.

This was hard for me to score, as I would give the product—that is the gaffs and the instructional
video—a 5, but the routine itself a 3. Erik Tait does a thorough job of teaching the trick and its
history, and everything you need is in the baggie and read to go.
Tait mentions that Max
Maven modeled this on Color Monte, and it’s a nice effect to have as a part of that history. And
it’s definitely does deliver a lot for only using three cards and no difficult moves. But where
Color Monte has an amazing kicker ending, Mo Monte pulls up just short—the final card is never
turned over, which is the natural climax for many Monte routines. This isn’t a possibility with Mo
Monte, and the effect seems limited as a result.
That said, the routine is still good and
there are moments in it that will catch your audience off guard. For the price, it’s good value,
though personally I’d probably go with the original Color Monte or a routine with more payoff (like
Penguin Monte, Clipped Scam, or Australian Aces).
This one of the best pack tricks i,ve seen in a long time ... Thank you so much Erick for your
handling on this effect by Mr Max Maven
Very different slant on the Monte Routine. However, in my opinion there are much easier ways to
explain why you should not play the Monte game. Lots of moves required and questions for the
spectator. As Dai Vernon said: "Confusion is not magic". If you want to spend the time and like the
end results then go for it. I prefer the traditional Monte routine.
Accurate description of product. Easy to do and good impact.
First of all, it's MAX MAVEN, so that in itself tells you it's special. I have not yet received the
item but watched the instructional video. It will take lots of practice in card handling for a guy
like me. But it'll be worth it. I didn't give it 5 stars because it is not yet in my hands. Be that
as it may, with the late MAX MAVEN being involved, I know it's a winner.
