Imagine you are drinking coffee in your own cup and ask a friend: Hi, do you want to play Heads or Tails? Do you have a quarter? OK. I will finish my coffee, and use the cup. I want YOU to place the coin inside the cup, cover it with your hands, shake it and I will try to guess HEADS OR TAIL, ok? As many times your friend does it, you are always right.
You can use your own quarter, or if you borrow your friend's quarter, you must exchange it for your quarter, that is a magnetic coin. Magnetic coin has north and south pole. The bottom of the cup molded in epoxy there is a north/south detector, a transmitter, a rechargeable battery and a charging circuit. The charging of the inside battery is wireless. Whenever the coin is placed in the cup, the circuit will send to a thumper (hidden in your pocket) the information Heads or Tails. The cup we send is like photo 1, but you can easily use spray paint and color it as you like (see photo 2 for black cup) You receive the cup, thumper, recharging system, and instruction manual. You must buy the magnetic coin (any magnetic coin you prefer) at any magic shop in your own country. You can see demo on youtube....https://youtu.be/qmvT8XsgXqA

Penguin was helpful and accommodating as always when I had to ask for a replacement for this. But in an effort to save them the trouble and others the money, I'd suggest avoiding this. Both times this product failed to work. The thumper appears to charge and it provides haptic feedback when turned on. However, the mechanism in the cup either fails to charge, fails to recognize the magnetic force, or fails to transmit an effective signal.

Like a lot of Nishiguchi's products, this is hand-made and looks it. The rough look doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in its durability. Maybe the mechanisms have deteriorated over time? Additionally, the Mickey Mouse cup design won't appeal to serious mentalists and how many kids shows include a heads/tails routine? (The creator painted the inside of the cup, couldn't they have just done the outside too?)

But none of that matters if it works, right? For me they didn't. I tried different distances, magnet strengths, switched out the components, etc. Bummer.
