This trick is quite good as most people already stated and im quite happy with my purchase, however
the description is misleading. This is not a psychological force in the literal sense of the word,
this is a mechanical card force that relies (a bit) on psychology. If you were expecting something
Derren Brownish you might be disappointed. You will however get a nice working force that seems to
be very usable.
The reason this is getting 3 stars is that I HATE deceptive advertising.
This is not a psychological force nor is it bold.

I LOVE this. This is the clever kind of magic that we know Alvo for. Hard hitting yet TOTALLY simple
so you can focus on that all important audience interaction.
I do this effect a LOT, and
use the force in a few other tricks. Take my word for this and pick this up!

In Portuguese it doesn't work. Number 1 is "UM", number 5 is "CINCO"
How do I solve this??
I'm glad I got this trick for free, but it can get some decent reactions from your audience. It's
not the best instant download around, but it teaches you a useful force! If you're interested in the
description, I'd say GO FOR IT!
This is audience interaction at its best. Interactive funny and a little awkward make for the
perfect effect. The effect itself is very straight forward but as always it is the presentation that
counts.
One of my most performed effects. Pick it up.
Fun Trick, & easy to pull of the one simple move needed. The set up required can be done in front
of others with a little practice & maybe a little diversion. Learned the trick well enough to show
others in about 10 minutes. Great Job Alvo.
This is a fantastic trick with cards...it is easy to do, it can be impromtu, depending on your card
handling technique, and it always gets a good reaction. It can be performed in a serious manner or
as a comedy routine, either way it is important to get the spectator involved. I also try to get the
people watching the performance involved as well.
I'm a very critical reviewer, and I have to say that this trick will not go into my repertoire.
The Neat Freak Force- YES it is easy, YES it will fly by your spectators (and possibly
magicians), YES it is deceptive BUT it is a move that relies on some kind of fast motion. It
involves the deck being in a slightly altered state, but it is impromptu with no gimmicks and you
can easily perform the slight setup in 1 second surrounded in front of spectators. Yes, I do like
this method.
Is it worth it? In my opinion, I would not buy this trick. However, it is not
expensive, so you don't have anything to lose. A beginning magician who does not know more than 30
or so card tricks would use this trick. An advanced sleight of hand magician who is already skilled
won't.
Just think about the effect. Who cares about the method; in fact any method would be
just as good. The spectator finds the mate of your card. Is this something you would like to perform
to people?
Every single one of the Alvo Stockman tricks I own has his trademark ingeniuity built in, and
"Mating Call" ist no exception. It does not take an expert at sleight of hand to perform his tricks
- rather they are carefully constructed to enable you to concentrate on your rapport with the
audience.
Stockman tricks are all about connecting with real people in real everyday situations
via magic.
I have always believed that simplicity is a must (the famous...less is more). Effects such as Route
66 or Mating call prove it... Without complex techniques, just with a bit of creativity, you get
effective magic that works and fools the audience. Thanks for your new avenues of thinking Alvo...!
