"Nick has added a super visual effect to the classic plot that makes the giveaway at the end even more impactful for the participants!" - Doc Docherty

"I like how the routine escalates to a very clean signed card fusion. Definitely a worker!" - Mariano Goni

"Anniversary Heartz is the perfect matchmaker, I love it!" - Dr. Cyril Thomas

Visually move the ink from one card to another, before having both cards signed, and then fuse them together into an impossible object your audience will remember forever. From one of the most creative magicians of the modern day comes an incredible update to a classic effect. This is Anniversary Heartz by Nicholas Lawrence.

Here's what happens:

The King and Queen of Hearts are removed from the deck, and then with a swipe of the thumb the king gives the queen his heart. You literally drag the pip from the King to the Queen. The corner of the King is blank and the heart is actually printed on the Queen! This effect doesn't stop there. You then have the King and Queen signed by different spectators. The two signed cards are then placed in between the spectator's hands where they impossibly fuse together.

This is an incredible modern take on The Anniversary Waltz plot as only Nicholas Lawrence could do it. Anniversary Heartz comes with the specially constructed gimmicks you need to perform the incredible moving ink effect, ready to go right out of the box. You also get enough gimmicks for 25 memorable performances of the signed Anniversary Waltz finale. The sleights needed for this effect are well within the skill level of any beginner magician. Working pros will love adding an extra phase to their existing Anniversary Waltz routine. Moving ink effects take your audience by surprise. The fused card finale allows you to leave them with a physical memento of the miracle you performed for them, and Anniversary Heartz leaves one of the wildest souvenirs. Move ink and then fuse signed playing cards together with Anniversary Heartz by Nicholas Lawrence.

Fantastic effect! Was trying to figure it out before I purchased the trick and was completely lost about the method. Not at all what I expected. I was pretty sure it was a heart sticker on the king, but I was completely fooled. The heart is printed on. Very clever handling and quite easy to perform with no difficult sleights. Highly recommend you perform more slowly to make the visual effect last as long as possible. Only downside to this trick is that if you want to make it a signed souvenir, there is a limited number of performances. Though the price is reasonable to restock the trick. You can of course perform the trick indefinitely if you don't have the card signed, so I'd recommend keeping one of the souvenir cards unsigned for impromptu performance. Nick this trick is incredible. Absolutely, love it!

Very good take on a modern classic Report this review

Anniversary Waltz has seen many iterations and many different handlings. It has gotten more streamlined and direct over the years, and it rightfully is considered a modern classic.

This fresh take on the trick does NOT fall into the trap of "a good trick ruined by IMPROVEMENT".

It adds another, strikingly visual, phase to the trick (adding maybe 30+/- seconds to the trick) without adding TOO much more complexity. For a change of pace, of in front of spectators who you know have seen this effect before - this might be just the extra spice you need!

Also, this trick is a good value. $20ish bucks for 25 gimmicked cards?
Not bad at all IMO.

A fabulous, visual effect, with an ‘impossible signed souvenir’ to leave with the spectators. Of course, you can perform this as a standalone effect, but also you can bring the gimmicks into play in any effects you may already perform, which happen to use the King and Queen of hearts. Obviously a potentially excellent effect to use with ‘the happy couple’.
