The mysterious box your audience can't lift!

Get ready for laughs of surprise, when your spectator is unable to lift a transparent card box off the table. As the magician, you are easily able to lift the box, but when it's their turn - fahgettaboudit! You can also use this box to store your ordinary deck of cards.

1. Insert a deck of cards into the transparent card box, and place the box onto the table. Encircle the box with a piece of string, creating a mystic circle.

2. Tell your spectator that he must remove the box from the circle within three seconds.
However, he is unable to even lift the box from the table!
Despite his frustrated struggle, you are easily able to lift the box!

3. Allow your spectator to examine the bottom of the box, but there is nothing to find.

NOTE: This magic effect may not work on some surfaces, depending on the table material or surface condition. In such instances, perform on the enclosed "magic circle" plate for best results.

The box is specially constructed to contain a full case of poker-sized playing cards.

This is one of Tenyo's lesser effective tricks. The trailer makes it look as if a spectator cannot lift the box off the table or off the supplied plastic mat. In reality, my 7 year old granddaughter lifted the box in about three seconds then looked at me with quizzical eyes and exclaimed "I though you said I couldn't lift it." Lifting the box is hardly a problem for an adult. Tenyo seems to realize this since there is a section in the instructions titled "If the case and plate separate too easily." Following their instructions does not do much to remedy the problem. Tying to lift the box encounters so little resistance that the spectator would think their grip just slipped a little. Fortunately it is not an expensive trick so it is a minor loss to put it straight away in the junk drawer.

This is not something I will use professionally but it is a nice little piece of fun to play around with with friends and family.
I have noticed it works particularly well on kitchen worktops.
Enjoy!
