I've used John Cornelius' Perfect Pen for over 20 years. I love it. But it looks like some classy
executive pen, not an everyday pen. I also love Tenyo's Shocking Pen. (By the way, both are more
expensive than Gifted Pen.) I have multiple other cheaper versions of the pen-through effect as
well. It's a great trick and gets a good reaction, every time.
However, Gifted Pen does
something none of those others can do—the pen-through effect with A BORROWED PEN!!! I think this is
a real advance and something I intend to keep with me where-ever I go. I keep one of the regular Bic
pens in my pocket anyway.
My only complaint is that, like so much other magic nowadays, it
came in this really nice case. It's unnecessary. Charge less and use a simple package. Again, I'm
saying that about so many other tricks as well.

Idk if it's just the package I received but I noticed it doesn't necessarily work as explained in
the video. Without giving too much away, the gimmick itself does not stay on very well/firmly and
the main component is not very strong, either. Perhaps I need more practice but it fell on the floor
multiple times while practicing. I think I'd rather prefer the other previous "pen through" sets but
the real appeal here is to be able to borrow a pen, so I don't want to give up on it just yet. I
just wished it worked as advertised on the included tutorial as well as other YouTube videos I've
come across. In the tutorial video it was mentioned that the rubber piece is what helps it 'stay on'
but on my set, that rubber piece doesn't seem like rubber but more like plastic. Maybe it's old and
dried out? Wish it was a little less cumbersome. At one point of the illusion, you are fumbling with
4 seperate pieces, which is where it can get messy.

There's a lot going for this one. I love the fact that you can hand "everything" out after. I've run
into these pens everywhere, so carrying the gimmick is practical if that's something you plan to
have on you.
The tutorial is pretty good, and I appreciate it wasn't too long. My only
complaint is that the gimmick does not "fit the pen" as tightly as I'd like. I feel it could have
been a tad more accommodating (although they did a great job and I'm not sure how I would do that).
So if you're not careful, it comes off easily. This IS managed just fine, and is not anything major.
The effect is great, the method is great, this clever adaption is a very nice addition to
the "pen thru"'s.
Well done.

Great idea, great gimmick, great price. I have no idea why anyone would use another pen through
bill. The type of pens the gimmick will work with are everywhere and of course you can carry your
own pen just in case but the ability to borrow a pen from a person or counter, do the trick and hand
the pen back is awesome.

I was looking for a trick that is easy to perform, is extremely easy to carry, has a decent "wow"
factor, and appears impromptu. For me, this meets those requirements.
The video tutorial
is good, with a couple of different handlings.
The prop is good as well. I had been
worried it might require a delicate touch, but the bit that makes the gimmick work seems robust
enough that it should not need to be babied.
At the end, everything is clean and can be
examined.
If you have been looking for a pen-through-bill trick, this one is good and I
would recommend it.

If you're a professional, odds are you probably have some variant of this already in your arsenal.
That being said, it's still worth getting this one! If you're a beginner looking for this type of
effect, this is probably the best version available. The only negative thing about this (if you
could even say it's negative) is the idea of borrowing the pen. Yes, you can technically borrow the
pen however, you can't just borrow any old pen. So, if someone gives you a pilot G2 gel pen, it
won't work. It has to be a standard bic pen. That being said, supply your own bic pen and because
they're super cheap, let your spectator keep the pen after as a souvenir. Probably the best "pen
though bill" I've ever owned.

very nice tutorial, and love that he included 2 gimmicks and that you can show the tip of the pen
right before you stab it...
