i got this one directly from Mike Wong at the Magic Castle swap meet. it is a very effective trick.
i was able to do it within 10 minutes of watching the video. the video is good quality, and the
trick is explained very well. however, to do it effectively, you will need a good hour or two of
practice. the reason i give this one 4 stars is the price...all you are getting is some string
(found at Walmart for 10 cents) and a short DVD. if you need a VERY good torn and restored ADD TO
CART, otherwise try something a bit cheaper.

I have to admit, I knew nothing about torn and restored thread work before picking up this DVD. I
was completely baffled by the Demo each time I watched it. After watching Mike Wong's excellent
presentation and instruction I am confident I made a good investment and will, with some practice
add an incredible piece of Magic to my working arsenal. Two words for you if you are even vaguley
interested in this one 'Get it!'

Although other reviews say that this one needs practice, I would disagree. I got this one working
right away. Also, the description above says there is no get-ready. In a sense, this is true,
because your have got ready before you even begin the trick.
This is the first time I have
bought a broken and restored thread trick and I don't think I will ever buy another one - this one
is easy to execute and fools everyone (I mean, if you watch the demo, can you see how its done? No?
thats just what I mean).

Although the DVD is less than 15 minutes, that's all need and you get thorough instruction for this
trick. It's very compact so it won't take up much pocket space at all. The illusion looks absolutely
wonderful! I now prefer this method as opposed to the traditional one.

This is a good trick that most magicians should know how to do. However, it's a little pricey for
what you get. This could have been taught as an instant download for less. If you don't know how to
do a broken and restored thread trick, then go ahead and get this. Otherwise, spend your money on
something else.

This is very visual magic. Your hands are open, you tear the thread, and they really do see and
hear it!!! You show that your hands are truly empty, then you pick up and unravel the restored
thread. This will take some practice, but there are not a lot of complicated moves. This is well
worth the investment in time and money. If you want a convincing torn and restored thread routine,
buy it!

Dragon Thread is Mike Wong's handling of the torn and restored thread. This is a great effect for
strolling magic as it is compact and has a limited reset. This is a big advantage over other
handlings of the torn and restored thread. Mike Wong does an excellent job teaching each trick
step-by-step. This is a true miracle with something so simple as a piece of thread.

This effect is great because it's a bit different- it's a great addition for anyone's act which is
probably crammed full of too many card tricks.
The explanation is very well taught and the
trick isn't too difficult to master. Go ahead and buy it!

This is a fantastic effect which is totally self contained and repeatable. I agree that it will take
some practice to get it right every time but it is worth it as the effect is practically angle
proof. Mike Wong's performance and explanation are excellent and I would recommend this to anyone
willing to put in some effort for an effect which you will use again and again.

I like this trick especially for strolling magic. I like that it can be reused a few times.
I don't like it as much as Gypsy Balloon by Tony Clark...but then again you can't do Gypsy
Balloon on the fly...BTW if you don't have Gypsy Balloon you should get it...people bug me about how
I do this trick the most. It is simply a beautiful trick.
But back to Dragon Thread: So
if you want a trick that packs small and can be carried with you pretty much at all times...this is
a good one.
A really good one.
