So I was stoked that this effect said "grab a straw and go" when in actuality, that isn't completely
true. You have to know where you're going and what kind of straws they have.
People have
great reactions... when I can find a place that I can perform this effect, but I don't go out that
much and the few places I have been it doesn't work as well as I'd thought it would.
My
biggest dilemma is that Starbuck's straws/wrappers don't work well up close. If I stand at the
condiments bar and show my friends across the room, which would work well for this very visual
effect, it'd be great. But that doesn't seem practical to me.
All-in-all, the concept of
this is great and I am looking forward to when I can perform it well and on an off beat with
friends!

Today I made my 115 th Pengy purchase. I think my 2nd was Restrawed.
Not for Starbx, BUT you do
this at McDonalds with their straws for your group and you are golden!
This is one of those
that might make you the OWNER OF THE ROOM, as you allow the parents to run to the restrooms as you
teach the kids how to do it and thus plant the seed of our art. About a billion times cooler than
every 27 card trick they think they know.

this trick is one that i love and that i haven't had a problem with like some people, I've only used
this at Arctic Circle so far but its worked well. It takes like a minute and a half of set up maybe
in the bathroom or at home, but its well worth it. If you have ten bucks definitely pick this up!!

Easy to learn and perform. As a pediatrician I'm always looking for easy tricks to put kids at ease.
This will do the job!

Bought this with the selling point of being impromptu, however it is not. It can be set up in a
second if the gimmick is made ahead of time. With that being said it is a fun, eye catching effect
that is a very quick trick with no possibility for quickly doing it with he same straw again. I
would say this is an opener to a short routine set for sitting with friends. It is a stretch but
could be used if working a restaurant nightly that puts straws on the table.
"Pairings":
coffee house conjuring is a great set to add this to.
I would follow up this trick with a
Daniel Garcia effect from Symphony: VOID.
Because I bought this under the wrong impression
and it is a very quick (more off beat than "watch me") kind of trick I gave it a 3 star rating. I
also would have liked to see some live performances with spectators in a restaurant setting.
Overall a good buy as an addition to a "straw" routine.

I like the idea of the effect, but it isn't realistic. Especially if you're at a place that doesn't
even have colored straws, people want to touch and see things examine them, to me there is just too
much hassle in preparation of the effect as well. It's a great idea, it's just not for me. Maybe it
is for you, give it a shot if you think it's something you can't live without, otherwise in my
opinion leave it alone.
