This is a cool looking illusion if you can pull it off. I'm 240 lbs. and can still perform this. It
gets a 3 star because I feel it's not good enough to be a stand alone trick. Combine this with
another Mayne effect (Bisection) and you have a 5 star winner!

I liked the pocket sawing in half. The effects are great, the instructions are pretty clear and the
gimmick is easy to make.

Ok this is not a great trick. Anyone you perform it for will see right thru it. To make it yeh its
easy but its cheap but a horrible effect. If you still want to buy it then buy it but i'll garuntee
its the worst trick ever.

Andrew Mayne is an awesome magician and all his works are awesome. This is true for this too. This
idea is brilliant and the effect does fit in your pocket. I don't know what some other people are
talking about how this isn't somthing you can fit in your poccket cause it is. Or you could wear it.
But this is an awesome book. Some of the tricks are a bit angly that's why I gave it a 4/5. However
there is one that you can do surrounded. I do highly suggest this and I think every street magician
should get this. A definite buy

Great idea but way over priced. On top of that you need to be a contortionist to make it look
really good. Save your money.

Can you lift half your body off your legs.

Eh...I bought this expecting something great! The exception is that the instructions don't explain
how to build the second part very well...so now I can't do the all around sawing...it just shows a
picture of the device, it doesn't tell you how to use it or anything...I don't really suggest this
if you are a street magician like me...but then again it did lead to bigger better ideas for a stage
show that I am putting together...

I respect and admire magicians who constantly work hours coming up with effects to present to the
magic world. That doesn't necessarily mean that I like them. After buying "Facelifter" and "Pocket
Sawing-In-Half", I gave up on Andrew Mayne. In "Pocket Sawing-In-Half", your pockets don't even
have anything to do with the effect so I have no idea why that's even in the title. Maybe he meant
that the gimmick is small enough to fit in the pocket. That's what I thought. I was wrong. His
instruction booklet is filled with detailed and well explained instructions along with tips and a
few extras but has his effects ever been audience tested? I saw "ShockFX" and that was great
because I saw each effect in action but as for his other ones, I won't even sleep on it. Sure the
cost to build the gimmick is cheap...VERY cheap, but the illusion just doesn't say "WOW". Andrew
Mayne has a very creative mind but once you learn the secret, it doesn't seem all that appealing
anymore.
