So... Every once in awhile you receive a piece of magic that you know... you just know... is going
to be something you can use.
This is one of those.
I watched the video demo and I just knew
in my gut that if this method were manageable then this piece would be completely practical, and it
would become a regular part of my performances.
I was not disappointed.
Ryan has delivered
a new application for an old principle that elevates a simple betcha to pure performance gold.
I
was familiar with the secret, and I put it to use with his routine the night I got it. Even if I had
not been previously exposed to this I would still have been able to use it.
It really is that
simple, and Ryan provides you with a full performance that you can use (although you will probably
put your own spin on it immediately... did I mention that it's simple?).
I tested this in a
restaurant, a bar, and from a distance. It worked every time. Once you know how there is NO
guesswork.
Ryan also provides a presentation for when you're working in what you think would
not be an ideal environment.
The video is short, sweet, and to the point.
There is a
section for an actual performance, an explanation, a bit of a History lesson, and an additional way
to perform this.
This is a practical piece.
If you are looking for a way to perform an easy
for the Spectator to follow prediction effect, that involves multiple Spectators, a double payoff,
and relatable items this is it.
It's also a nifty bar bet if you are not feeling like
performing.

This is the type of effect that is so simple it hurts. Everything in play is an ordinary object and
is under the control of the spectator at all times. This packs flat and plays big. This has multiple
phases. This can be done for 1 to 3 people. Great Job!

I was given a free preview by Rick(y)Lax. This is simple, but a lot to go over. Ryan Stock seems
friendly and speaks clearly, so learning will be easy. At first, I thought this was going to be a
simple bar bet thing, and maybe it is, but it has a kicker ending that hit me out of the blue. That
was a nice touch whoever came up with that. Someone could keep it as a simple bar bet, or do then
entire routine, which has a similarity to Paul Harris' Overkill (to me anyway). The trick is a small
step above self-working. I would say easy with a set-up. I can see a small bit of audience
management, but nothing to worry about. This would either work as something when you are out with
the guys, or as a gambling type routine in a close-up performance. Bartenders will love this trick.
My favorite part is it is what I call, "buried magic". Buried magic is magic that existed a long
time ago, was forgotten, and someone brings it back to life. I have one or two tricks like that, and
I'm always looking for more. They end up fooling magicians because they have been so forgotten
about, most guys are not familiar with the method and get fried. The methodology reminded me of
Clear Choice in that, I had no idea that the method even existed, and this has the same kind of
feel. I think it should be a $10.00 trick though.... 5 stars, good work, and good luck.

Let's start here: I'm biased in favor of the trick. Ryan amazed me with the secret, and then I got
to help him craft the routine. So, yeah, I'm biased and you should take everything I say with a
grain of salt.
But HERE's the main point of what I want to say with this trick: The secret
is incredible. Seriously, when you hear it...you're just not gonna believe that it works. But it
does. (As you'll soon find out for yourself.)
So many tricks...you learn the secret and
you're disappointed. But this one's the opposite.

I don't do many downloads. The trailer had a real honest quality about it which showed what seemed
to be a practical working routine. I'm happy to report the lesson delivers as promised.
This will be going into my pocket immediately as an easy routine with instant audience appeal.
Common objects with nothing fishy to hide, and a triple-punch ending.
Thanks Ryan for
helping me with my goal to not learn anymore @%#X&$ card tricks!

I received an advanced copy of this and all I can think is wow. The teaching is well layed out and
clear. I look forward to seeing more releases from Ryan. Also, I feel this is a worker that will be
going into my act ASAP. I recommend this to anyone.

I was lucky enough to receive the Advance Review Copy from Rick Lax, and seriously, I still can't
believe how lucky I am to get it.
This trick is very easy to do, and you don't really need
a lot of practice to know whether the quarter is heads or tails. (Of course the more practice the
better)
Uses everyday things that everyone has, and the method is just brilliant! Love it!

This trick can be easily added to your repertoire. It does not depend on angles and can be done
with a quick reset. There are several layers of the reveal to heighten the effect for your
spectators.

Let me start by saying, I received an advance review copy and am grateful to have had the
opportunity to look at it before the official release. That being said, I would have had no problem
being critical if I didn't like it. The method shocked me - I thought going into it that the coins
were gimmicked in such a way that they always landed on heads or tails before they were spun, making
you knew the combination. Though I would not repeat this trick for people (especially since they
know the dollar part) the coins will land on both heads and tails equally -- your spectator can do
some practice spins with their coin before you turn around and start the effect, to see the coin
lands on both sides.....you will end up with different heads/tails combinations when you do the
trick again. The secret is something which can be applied to different effects - I'm definitely
looking forward to more of Ryan's releases -- I'm a huge Lax/Flom supporter and love everything they
do, and can see why they're friends with Stock - a fresh mind in magic!!!

To start, I've just gotten to learn this and field test it as part of an "Advance Review Copy" which
was most kind of Rick and the team at Penguin (thank you very much to those kind folks). The
concept is very easy to learn and put together and makes for a great pocket-miracle. The download
isn't terribly long, but Ryan does a great job at explaining the learning process). The tools for
the routine are available in anyone's home. Learning it didn't take very long, although, like most
magic, practice makes everything better. Once you've got it down, there's a variety of great
routines that can be done with one or more coins, ranging from the standard bar bet of knowing if a
coin is heads or tails to a multi-phase, multi-coin prediction effect that'll be sure to leave
audiences speechless. The method is clever enough that, should folks happen to see this more than
once, they still will be scratching their heads and will be looking for a mirror or confidant... Be
legitimately blindfolded and still hit 100% success with this. Perfect pocket miracle!
