I just performed it for a couple of friends and yes i fooled them.
I was familiar with the original idea behind the trick but Rick added a new level to this effect.

The explanation by Rick is as usual 100% satisfactory.

The best thing about this trick is that its impromptu.
But Rick gave a suggestion to use it with cards and yes if you use it with cards you'll get the most awesome reactions.

Okay, so to begin, I will say that I did receive this as an advanced review copy.

I do really like this trick, and I will begin by saying that. However, the one fault it has is that there has to be a setup using the peoples names you are going to perform this for (for the prediction). This makes this trick fairly difficult to use for table hopping or for new groups, as you would have to write the prediction in front of them. The one thing that I did is pre-write the prediction, leaving the name section blank, and filling in the names as I met the group. This did take away from the overall reaction from the trick in the times I performed it, however, the reactions are still very good.

One of the biggest advantages of this trick, however, would be how impromptu it is. Seriously, with a sharpie and 3 pieces of paper, people will say you are in their minds. So while there may be a few complications with the set up, overall I would still recommend this trick. I look forward for this idea to continue to be toyed with, and seeing how other magicians adapt this trick within the discussion section for those that bought it.

Finally, is it worth the price? I would say yes. You will not forget the method, it is impromptu, and this idea can be used for so much more than just the trick that Rick presented.

So, taking everything that I said into mind, I would rate this trick a 8/10, and something that I do look forward to performing. Thanks again Rick, for a great trick!

So I recently got this effect, it looked interesting and I felt like I seen part of the effect before so was wondering if I knew the method. After watching this I realized I knew part of it but Rick to it up a level which fooled me. Halfway through I was wondering how I did not come up with this myself as he uses simple things most mentalist know as well as the effect he got inspiration from to make something really nice. I have always enjoyed Ricks performances but as my first time learning one of his effects I think I will again in the future. I immediately decided after watching this to add it into my walk around show as it is really powerful for its simplicity and leaves your spectator a souvenir that will make them think.

I am a fan, but this is extreme great.

Three words. Perfect. Practical. Polished.
I saw Mark Elsdon's lecture, which was superb in itself. Rick took the idea and made it perfect, polished, and practical. This is a trick you will use and will always have in your arsenal.

Mark Elsdon took a well known gag and shifted it up a gear but apparently it was a bit too easy to back track. Rick has taken it further and has come up with a funny...yes I said funny piece of mentalism that is technically very easy to perform. This is a great effect for the pub, walk around, parties, your workplace, restaurants etc. If you have the necessary performance skills this is a great effect that will generate genuine surprise and probably howls of laughter from your participants. I've worked in a restaurant every week for the past eight years and as soon as I watched this I thought, this is gold dust for the right table. I also instantly came up with an additional wee piece that I can add to it that should generate even more laughs with the right group.
Highly recommended, I could have used this in the restaurant several times last week and I look forward to using it this weekend.

Cant believe the reviews for this. Big fan of Rick but this is by far the worst purchase this year. Feel sorry for anyone paying the full 15 for this. The whole "No" part adds no value to the trick and there is a risk of them having a guess. Not for me and im sure i wont be alone.

I don't usually write reviews but this trick is exceptional. This is a "do it forever" kind of routine and will definitely be my go to impromptu piece. Can't recommend it enough.
