Nothing makes me happier than learning good impromptu card tricks. This is not only easy to do,
using sleights you probably already know, but it's super visual, can be done anywhere anytime, and
resets instantly.
This is a great closer for your ambitious card routine. I've seen some
really great closers before but they've all required a gimmick of some sort. It's hard to believe
from seeing it performed but it requires no gimmicks at all.
Video quality is good,
thorough instruction including 2 cleanup methods. It's not too long, rambly, or full of filler
B-roll. It's short, to the point, concise, and easy to follow.
Pros:
- No gimmicks at
all
- Can be done with any deck
- Incredibly visual
- Resets instantly & no real prep
required
- Fairly easy to learn and perform
- Inexpensive
- Clear, concise
instruction
Cons:
- Angles. Not bad, but definitely something you'll have to be aware
of.
- ... That's all i can think of.

I'd have given higher rating had the trailer been totally honest. Not to give anything away, the
trailer shows something which can't be achieved with the method as explained.

This effect is very good looking on the video and the teaching is very good as well. However, it
is nowhere as easy as it is described. I am a full time working professional magician and I
understand the practice requirements to make something usable. I have put at least 24 hrs of
practice into this and it is a looooong way off from being usable. You must understand if you
purchase this with an introductory level of handling you are likely going to be unable to perform
the effect.
I gave this 3 stars simply for the fact that the ad copy is rather vague in
respect to what is required skill wise and time wise to perform a slight such as this.

This was an extremely disappointing purchase for me as the handling shown in the demo video can not
be done with a person who has small or medium size hands ( I have average size). You must have large
hands to do this. Therefore this routine is useless for me.

Base on same concept of Reduction by the same arthur, here is the same principle but apply to
different magic effect. The effect, if done in proper angle is quite strong and like the ad said can
serve as alternative to impromtu the Ambitious Card routine.
However, the instruction video
about a critical sleight is not detail explain. What I mean is that specific sleight requires exact
finger position otherwise it cannot be achieved did not taught in detail.
This might look
good in some performer's hands but you have to expect quite amount of practice to make it look good.

I really like this effect. The first sleight isn't hard and after a few minutes you'll have it. The
last sleight where the cards comes to the top is your angle problem if you can call it one, you just
can't be surrounded. I've played with it enough that if you wanted to erase the last move you could
do a double in the beginning so the specs see the card move up and the last time a traditional push
the card in and now it's on the top. Actually working on pushing it in and pulling top card out to
create same illusion. Well worth it and not a huge amount of time, a nice close to ambitious card
for sure.

Angles are fine, I was able to do the first part of the trick within a few tries. Common sense
required. An amazing card pass, that is truly unlike any other. It will take time, like any good
sleight. Also, another alternative method is shown that is easier to master firstly. Hey, if you
don't like a little work, than this isn't for you and stay to gimmicks. I'm really impressed with
the stuff Nicholas Lawrence puts out. Creative dude, gotta meet this guy some day!

I really like what Nicholas has done here.
A simple effect that requires a bit of skill.
And that skill is very satisfying when you learn it.
Not hard either.
Nicholas
does a fine job at explaining and the camera
work is superb.
This is already in my
routine...and I only got it a bit ago.
Of all the rising card illusions, this is a WINNER

Wonderful effect. For the right situations (angle sensitive) this is mind-blowing, visual magic. As
a full-time pro I am always on the look out for VISUAL magic - sometimes I do very noisy cocktail
parties. The Rising can be done with or without patter. Very versatile. Also - it's a simple effect
- I work for international audiences that don't speak English here in NYC - so again, this visual
gem is perfect.
Next - it's a card trick that doesn't need a table. Once you start working
walk-around shows you'll realize how useless table top magic is. And no, I won't schlep a table
around a room. Most clubs are too tight, multi-level, etc.
On the downside, I can't do
this for a large / semi-surrounded group. But - it's a killer secret weapon to have ready for when
the time is right. Performing for 2-4 people who are standing up? Perfect. Entertaining a few people
at a cocktail table - yep, this will knock-em dead.
Easy enough method.
