This trick will get the above reactions and it is fun to
perform, but You Must Put In The Time that an effect of this quality deservers. Dont buy it and
start crying its hard; so is riding a bike when you first start and just like riding a bike, it
does get easier with practice. The real trick is just a bit of thinking about what to say, what
comes next and what your hands are doing.
A nice, 4 Stars.
Easy of use = Medium, Practice
Required.
Audience wow factor = Medium to High
Audience Reaction = No Way!, What
The.....? and How?
Audience Target = Anywhere, but really a table top is required.
Could be performed Surrounded = Absolutely, no problem.
Reset Speed = 15 / 30 seconds, out
of sight of people.
Examinable = No, but a deck / few card switch would solve that problem.
Fun to perform = Rewarding; It looks good and you know that youve worked for it.

I received this trick a few weeks ago and have been practicing it constantly. I've gotten it down
to almost performance level. Only downside, the gimmicks wear out too quickly! Other than that,
looks like this is a winner!

I just received my order few hours ago and I have read the written instructions multiple times.
Theres something wrong with the instructions because my card is not on the proper positions on the
first reveal.

I'll say right off the bat that the effect is very gimmicky. But I assume most have suspected that
already. The trick is not hard to do, but it takes practice and effort to make it look smooth and
natural. You have to be careful with the card gimmicks, but you can't make it look like you're being
careful, or else you'll draw suspicion and the illusion is shattered for all practical purposes.
Due to the method involved, you will need a soft surface to work on. So I don't put it in
the "anytime, anywhere" category. I consider it more useful for controlled and formal environments.
There's also the issue of trying to make it look organic and natural. In other words, how do you
justify taking eight cards out of a little wallet, as opposed to just removing them from a regular
deck. That, coupled with the fact that they're not examinable, can be a presentational challenge.
There are solutions to these "problems", but I wouldn't recommend this to beginners at all.
Stick to clean, organic, examinable stuff if you're new. But more experienced magicians can find
value in this. Oz makes it look so easy, but it takes work to get it down. It's not technically
hard, but you have to remember the steps and work on making it look natural.

A good-looking version of the effect (see Oz's demo), but it does require careful handling and
therefore practice to pull off. Of course the cards are not inspectable.

it was different then i was thinking but still a great trick!
got this like 2 weeks ago and i've been practicing it and i can say i really got this down very
well, it does take a little work but well worth it, i love it and so did the few people i showed it
too today, oz does an excellent job teaching it as usual.. it's a killer and i think it's a must
have.. thanks again penguin..
This is an excellent trick and well worth the money. The DVD gives a very detailed working. The
steps to perform the trick are not difficult to learn but as always it does require practice. It is
well wort the time it will take to master. After several uses it will require additional
application of roughing solution on specific cards.
If you've never done an oil and water routine, this is one of the better ones out there. Sure it
uses gimmicks but it doesn't matter. It's a great packet trick and you'll have fun performing it. It
does some practice to get it right so it isn't one of those right out of the package tricks. After a
while the gimmick might start to wear out but just buy some 'gimmick' and they'll be good as new.
Although this is fun to do, it does take some practice. Get it. You wont be disappointed.
