As much as I deeply admire Gary Jones, this one is not something to rave about. It starts with
showing two groups of four cards and then immediately runs into a major issue which involves a
blatant discrepancy in putting 4 cards into the spectators hands. This discrepancy cannot be
avoided in the handling and is noticed immediately by an attentive audience. Next comes a series of
very bad flustration type convincers, three out of 4 of which are discrepancies once again. So what
we have in this setup is no less than 4 discrepancies, an unfortunate circumstance that greatly
exceeds my tolerance for hiding discrepancies. The transpo-reveal is a four card transpo that
cannot be examined unless the "cards in pockets" routine is used (my recommendation). This four
card transpo will not be replacing my existing routines. The handling on this is way below average
for Gary. Fifteen bucks is way too much for this rather very poor handling riddled with way too
many discrepancies. "Double Back" is much more impressive with much better handling. I hope
Penguin gives me a coupon for my continued support.

I'm finally calming down (a little!) with my magic purchases, preferring to only buy things that I
can see myself performing to a paying audience. This fits the bill: simple (it has to be for me 😉)
big effect for very little effort, instant or lightning quick reset.
Ticks all the boxes.
Why are still reading this? Go and buy it!

At first glance I was a little bummed then I performed it for some friends and family and it always
ends in an David Blaine moment of screams and cheers and the only reason I'm giving it four stars is
because I will have to make a new gimmick when this wears out. get Upper Hand you will be happy you
did.

I absolutely LOVE this effect. Regarding the discrepancy a few people have mentioned. Yes- there is
a discrepancy, just like there’s one in the elmsley count, (seeing the first card twice)- but will
not be noticed by the spectator. Gary says in the tutorial that a flushtration count is not
necessary, but I believe it is VITAL that you do the count. I am not trying to say that I disagree
with Gary- he is one of my favorite magicians and I’m just a hobbiest/light performer- I just feel
that being able to show the spectator “all” 4 jokers is a must and immediately hides any
discrepancies because the spectator SEES “all” 4 jokers (or whatever 4 cards you use). I also feel
that this is “move quickly” type effect- don’t rush through it, but when I do this effect I move at
kind of a quick pace (don’t think before you do any moves- just do them) and that hides any
discrepancy even more. This effect is dead easy to do, and when Gary says there is barely any
sleight of hand let me tell you there is next to nothing regarding any sleights here. I just hand
the deck to someone and tell them to grab any 4 cards and sign them which adds to the effect and
even better if 4 different people sign each card. You won’t be disappointed with this great little
packet effect!!!

Sorry but I was really disappointed with this--the method is ancient and on my cards did not work
very well--there is a bit of handling thay would put off a beginner. I feel like I,ve wasted my
money-again. I appreciate that some people would like this.

the download shows three performances in all three i could see the dodgy move, i then showed a
performance to a magician friend and it didnt fly by him , sorry i really wanted to like this but
back of the draw it goes

I was greatly disappointed in this effect. I did not even realize that there was a gimmick until I
found out in the download. THAt is not too surprising to me as I am NOT a fan of the ruff/smooth
card concept. THIs move seldom works for me. This effect my indeed fool a layperson, but a magician
would not be fooled. Save your money on this.

Just bought it, am waiting for the gimmick in the mail. 'Decided not to wait for the gimmick, so I
followed the instructions to make another one. Practiced the handling for 10 minutes &
wallah!.....am performing to the amazement of all. The simplest illusions work the best for me,
especially when I can give out all the cards for souveniers (minus the gimmick, of course). Thanks
to all for a tremendous effect. Knowing the secret now opens up a whole new way to come up with new
effects.

I've been using this in my routine for 2 years - without exceptions spectators are blown away when
the effect happens in their own hands. Highly recommend
