Thank you Cameron Francis for sharing this twist on a classic. The video instruction is clear,
thorough and concise. After watching the instruction once-I understood the material and the
principle behind this effect. This is an impromptu card revelation that has an impact on audiences
(like a pipe wrench to the head kind of impact).
The climax of my first public performance
of this card revelation earned me an ear piercing "aaaaaah" from a group of awe-struck women. They
startled the cr@% out of me. And that's the reaction that reminds me that my business is performing
wonderment.
Deceit Treat is a miracle to the layperson and an awesome worker for magicians.
At $10 it pays for itself after your first audience reaction.

Hello Everyone,
I am no stranger to packet trick when it comes to card routines. And I love
them despite what others say. When a briefcase of mine was stollen with about 50 gaffed decks that
took me 40 years to buy, many so rare they could not be replaced, I hunted for years to replace 95%
of them.
But there is NO better magic than magic that is performed with a spectator's deck
of card, where much of the magic happens in their hands, and offers them a truly FREE selection. And
I mean TRULY FREE SELECTION. This beats any packet trick I own.
I love this because it
appears to be true mentalism. And the only prop you need is a regular deck of cards. And they don't
even need to be your deck. This is my new Ambitious Card Routine. Well, it's up there anyway. LOL
Cameron's instructions were clear and easy to understand unlike my reviews. LOL. I was
performing this trick before the video was over. And I remember the steps as they are as easy as it
comes. When Cameron explained the trick at the end with a flipped card, I was already performing the
trick to others. No special slights or handling. There are a few things to remember, just like any
other trick, but nothing that you can't master within a few minutes of practicing this routine.
A great buy and a greater trick because this is Real Card Magic at it's best.
I hope that this helps you,
The Magic Doc

This is such a fun, quick little trick that continuously amazes lay folk. So simple, yet so strong.
As always, Cameron's teaching is topnotch.
During one of my performances of this trick, a
spectator said, "is he counting cards" and I thought to myself, "Oh no, they're on to me!". Using
the little subtlety Cameron suggests completely sold the effect because upon the revelation, the
same spectator started freaking out. A Deceit Treat indeed!

There's not much to say about this trick other than it fools everyone. You never see the card, but
you are able to find it without even looking. This is a must have for any card Magician.

This reminds me of some of the old Harry Lorayne stuff...the psychology is perfect and the working
is UNBELIEVABLY easy. Very powerful, with a borrowed deck and no fiddling (well, that the spectator
can see). The one "slight," if it can be called that, can be done by a 9 year old.
Very
clever, I'll use this, thanks, Cameron!

I bought this out of curiosity - it was a low price and what's not to love about an impromptu effect
with a borrowed, shuffled deck?
This is a great tool for every magicians arsenal and it has
many ways that it can be presented. Cameron Francis is, as ever, a great teacher. He gives you
everything you need to learn and perform without any filler.
I'm very happy with my
purchase from Penguin.

Not a show stopper, but still a good trick. Easy to learn even for a beginner, and well worth the
price Penguin charges. I would say "YES" buy it.

I must say, this one kind of surprised me. It REALLY IS simple and direct. I expected this one to
be more difficult in its execution that it actually is. It looks more complicated than it is and
that will serve you well. You will be doing this in 45 minutes and gives you time to go through the
video. The sequence of events at your end are easy to remember. That makes it easy to do next week
when you might be doing it again. From the performer's side, everything you do will make sense to
you and the spectator will follow right along...a little less aware. So you can 'smooth' through
your presentation and not have to think too much about where you are going with your hands. The
spectator will follow your lead in which you 'ask' them to some things with the cards and you
demonstrate it. It's fast moving but easy for them to follow. The price is certainly right! The
trick DOES 'AMAZE' and it would be very difficult for anyone to re-engineer this one. It's a
'fooler'. I like it. Thank Cameron and Penguin Magic.

I am always looking for tricks that will fool my very intelligent 13 year old son. He always reverse
engeniers everything and he is useually right and it is very disappointing for me. But This trick
fooled him I also got another card trick, I think it was called "Or Not" that claimed to fool smart
people and even magicians and that also rocked. Both tricks use a normal deck of cards and are very
clean workers. I will be using both of these new tricks for a long time. Please keep them coming. I
highly recommend this trick, so easy to do and so hard to figure out. Very clean, very powerful.

This isn't anything particularly new. Cameron really doesn't add anything to the principle, but
it's still a solid effect. Many will recognize the principle from beginner magic literature. It's
essentially a self-working effect that enables the performer to focus on engaging presentation. I
was just expecting something more in terms of methodology. Okay offering and strong effect; you can
just get more bang for your buck from a book.
