I Will Not Waste Your Time by going on for 10 minutes about how much I love this trick. It deserves
5 out of 5 stars and if you buy it you will love it. Enough said.
Now onto the information
that you actually care about.
If you are new to card tricks you will be required to learn a
couple of very basic moves that can be perfected in a short time. If you already know how to handle
cards then you will be able to perform this right away.
I absolutely love the gimmick used
for this trick. I was afraid that the gimmick for this trick was going to be some kind of complex
mechanism that was going to break very easily. I was very pleased to find that the concept for this
gimmick is extremely straightforward and easy to use. It will also last for a very long time if it
is well taken care of.
As you already know I cannot give away how this trick works. So just
let me just say that this trick has a gimmick that works with other tricks that are sold on Penguin
Magic. I have two other magic tricks that I can use hand in hand with this magic trick. In fact the
other magic tricks that I own work so well with this trick that they make the clean up for this
trick (which is extremely easy) even cleaner and easier. In other words once you know how this trick
works, look on penguin magic for other tricks that you think might work in a similar way. You will
be pleasantly surprised to find out that the gimmicks will work together and that you will be able
to combine three different effects in one routine without having to change anything.
Just
in case you didn't realize it by watching the video that shows this trick VERY CLEARLY, I am going
to inform you of a couple of things that you are going to have to provide in order for this to work.
You will need to provide your own deck of cards. (This should be obvious since it doesn't
say anywhere that it comes with one)
You will need to sacrifice one card every time you
perform this trick. (This should be very obvious because you can see very clearly in the demo video
that you will be giving the spectator their card that is signed by them to keep as a souvenir)
You are going to need to save your cellophane from your card boxes. (In the demo video you can
clearly see that he makes the spectators card appear folded into fourths in the cellophane of his
card box. We all know that cellophane can be damaged very easily and does not last forever so start
saving the cellophane from all the card boxes that you buy)

Online tutorial can be reviewed right away. Clear instructions. Almost switch, they don't see it
coming. So easy to perform, beginners must practice, intermediates and advanced can perform right
away. Adding this to my list of switchout options.

As a working pro, stick with a Kennedy box or Clarity Box..much less to hide..

This is crazy! It is easy to do and the cleanup is very smooth! This trick does take a little set up
but you can do it very quickly. Yoi can use it right out the box so add it to your cart!

“Simple” is one of the hardest things to achieve. In art, in design, in storytelling. If you are
someone who likes showing effects to friends and family-Get this. If you are a working
professional-get this. The thinking alone is worth the price of admission and I’m rather surprised
that this was released - I’ve got all the “boxes” and this has just as much impact and is much more
practical in many ways. No extra pocket space required.

Excellent variation on the folded card to a closed container effect. I use the Kennedy Card Box in a
like routine but as mentioned this method is less "magic prop" like. I expected explanations on the
torn and restored card and dollar bill change effects shown in the ad. Will these be added to this
download later?

This is by far the smartest of any device or box I've ever used. Just throw everything else that is
a box away. You HAVE the playing card case. USE it as the box to show a clear and captured card
and then you can switch unseen with no moves. Fantastic!

Not a bad effect. You will enjoy the easy, practical naturr of the gimmick. I also made the
mistake of purchasing sealed but this totally makes up for it.
Unfortunately I am taking
away star because I was looking forward to the coin and bill switches seen in the ad in the
instructional video. All in all though I am happy with my purchase

Its a really nice trick, really visual. But for starters, it doesn't come with any packaging. U get
a bag with the gimmick. Next, you HAVE to change the card to a smaller object. It cant be anything
bigger than a folded up card. Also be aware that there can be a "glare" in the gimmick so be careful
of your lighting. Also, the deck ends every dirty. But most of the time the attenchion isn't on the
deck. But over all, its a really good trick. I'd use it.

Nicholas has teamed up with Penguin and created something special. You are getting a precision made
gimmick that is fully customizable to any deck of your choosing and all you need is cellophane, and
to watch the tutorial. I have disabilities & autism so this took me some time especially to learn
the "move" that you do for boxes like this out there, i have never owned a box before - i was very
close but just got Quiver, more of a visual switch device that you can do things with this too.
I have to say that this is really geared towards beginners in the sense of the way the video is
explained. Yes the gimmick and product instructions are for any working pro, but the teaching is a
bit slow for some people that know typical card moves, ACR routines, and the move you do for these
boxes however the teaching is PERFECT for me. Even if i am a pro with my ACR's and sleights which i
am not, just a hobbiest - I would be in heaven.
This is Penguin Magic's best created
engineered gimmick since HC+. I thank you Penguin and Nicholas for doing this project, I look
forward to seeing more of your work and I look forward to sharing some performances of IN THE CLEAR
with people around me :)
