I love Brother John Hamman’s Twins, and I'm a big Michael Amman fan. However, this performance is a
let-down. I don't think it was a good choice on Ammar’s part to teach holding the break after a card
is flipped over. As far as I know, this was not in the original handling, and it is not an
improvement. I think he taught this better on his Easy-to-Master series. Further, the improvements
that Bill Malone brought to this routine are so good that I think his version should be the
standard. Ammar’s slightly shaky handling, as seen here, is just underwhelming and not up to the
standard I would expect. Twins is a terrific trick, but learn it from Ammar’s earlier release,
Easy-to-Master Card Vol 3, Brother John Hamman’s book, Secrets of Brother John Hamman, or,
preferably, from Bill Malone, On the Loose DVD vol 2. All available on Penguin.

Michael Ammar is a phenomenal teacher and he does teach this very clearly, although I do think he
could have stood to spend a little bit longer explaining the move. I'd recommend this trick to
intermediate magicians whole-heartedly. Advanced magicians will probably already know it and aren't
interested in doing tricks that involve doing the same move over and over again when they have
better tricks to choose from. Intermediate magicians, however, will love it.
My big issue
is that the ad copy says "Here's why this card trick is awesome. 1. People think you're hiding like
20 cards in your hands, so when you let them examine the 4 cards at the end their brains explode."
In a trick like this it's incredibly important to let people examine the cards because they
really will think you actually have 12 cards. The problem is this story does not end in an
examinable position. You'd have to end the story with their being one black pair and one red pair
for it to be examinable but I haven't thought of how to make that make sense yet. Without that, this
trick is NOT EXAMINABLE! I assume at some point someone will figure out how to make that ending make
sense in a satisfying way and post it on the forum but until that point I don't plan on performing
it and neither should you. When someone does figure that out I'll try to comment on this review that
its now time to buy.

I am not a pro, not even a good amatuer. I would say I am an intermediate minus at the skill level.
So yes, there are some slights and if you watch Michael you can see they are basic and easy,,but
they are still there. But here is what I like the most, the simplicity of the instruction. Too
many DVDs and streams now are too repetitive and seem too over produced. They makes things harder
then need be. This is cut and dry. A magician just teaching, not in it to shows us his greatness or
brilliant skills. I love this direct type of teaching.

This is another classic effect. Fairly easy to do, easy to follow along (as a story/effect). Only
four cards in play (awesome!) and totally examinable, although I think that would be a step back as
it's not needed, but you can. Taught well, just needs some practice to be smooth, and that
smoothness is the most important part to selling the trick. Worth knowing!

Get a used copy of Ammar's easy to master card miracles, you'll get a much better deal.
This video is 8:17 seconds long, with 6:30 of instruction. No where near the instruction you
should be getting. A cursory glance at the top level of a trick without the detail needed to master.
I am not a fan of these single trick 5 minute downloads for 5-10 dollars. There is not enough
teaching detail, and for the price of 2-3 downloads, you can get a full DVD of 6-10 tricks with
around 3 times the explanation time on each trick.

Nice effect with a great story will make this a fun routine to perform. Michael does another super
job of teaching this 'minimal sleight' trick with both front and over the shoulder video shots. Yes,
only four cards are being used, no gimmicks and examinable before and afterwards. This is a great as
no-one has to pick a card, your spectators can just watch, be amazed and be entertained. Very
practical for restaurant and bar performers or do it strolling using your spectators hand as your
table - nothing to worry about. No angle issues and yes, some practice is necessary to make this
magical. For under 5 bucks, this is a deal.

As a beginner, which many of your ads make these seem like they are doable for, there was info
missing for me to be successful. There were things assumed in the card handling that I can’t do
right now so some more in depth instructions for that would have been nice. I know I can keep trying
and get better and I will, but not having any tips or tricks to do that make practice not nearly as
enjoyable as it could be. This is the case with a few that I’ve purchased

Having tricks you can do on the fly with a regular deck is critical for every magician. This is a
great trick that you can always have in your arsenal with no need to have a card selected or signed.
Just plain simple magic with a fun story. Definitely something everyone should have.

This is a killer trick; however, I need to practice a lot.
For those who can manipulate cards
well, they would catch on quickly.

This is a great version of the trick taught by Michael. I use it all the time. Be sure to check out
an extended ending by Bill Malone (On the Loose Volume 2) that works especially well if you are
seated at a table.
